Guestbook comments from the owner

My Review: This cabin is a must enjoy get-away . It has the 3'C's- cozy, comfortable and clean. We sat on the dock and fished, enjoyed the lake and watched a sunset that evening that was splended. (And no mosquitoes!!!)It has more amenities than a hotel room and much more affordable. We would recommend this cabin for a quiet get-away with some rest and relaxation.

I would recommend this cabin for Adventure Seekers, Age 55+,Girls Get-away,Romantic Get-away

Very peaceful and quiet!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a lovely time here celebrating our years of being together :) It's the most peaceful and quiet place we've ever traveled to. It's hard to believe we had neighbors because we hardly heard anyone. We really enjoyed fishing off the pontoon. It was a terrific bonus!! Though, we caught most of our fish off the dock. The cabin was small and cozy--the perfect size for us two! Downtown Mora was a cute little area to explore. It was cold and windy during the last two days of our stay, so we didn't do many things outside. Other than that, it was the perfect place for a romantic and quiet getaway :) Definitely looking forward to returning someday!

Owner's Response: Thank you. I would agree. It is the perfect place for a little peace and quiet and a great place to celebrate simply anything. Fishing off the dock seems to bring in as much luck if not more than going out to the middle of the lake. I always put in a request for good weather and no mosquitos but the good Lord has other plans sometimes. I am glad it was all good anyway. I look forward to your next visit. Thanks again!

Wonderful Peaceful Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

I recently returned from a wonderful week at Peace of Pine. This place is fabulous and I plan to make it my Minnesota “home away from home.” This cabin far exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to visit again.

I live in Southern California where stress is a way of life. After being at this cabin for only a few hours, I could feel the stress melting away. Every morning I took my coffee out to the patio and gazed at the quiet lake, starting my days relaxed and mellow.

The cabin was well appointed with everything someone from far away needs plus a few things I didn’t even know I needed (e.g. books, games, firewood, etc). The boats were wonderful to have. There’s nothing like being out on the lake. The décor is very “cabin chic,” which I thought was charming.

Thanks Lisa for being such a great landlord. I appreciated all the detailed instructions and the labels and signs placed all around really made it easy to figure out where everything is. Also, thanks for shipping my forgotten power cords and Kindle.

Owner's Response: I really feel blessed with so many wonderful reviews. This one is right up there with the rest of them. Thank you for touching on all the things that made you feel at home. It was fun planning for sunny days with boats and yard games, cool nights with the fire pit, rainy days with the drop down screen in the garage and cold days with a warm fire place , books, games and movies. I am so pleased you were able to enjoy so much of the amenities. We are excited about your next visit! Thank you again.

Peace and Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

We've just returned from Peace of Pine Cabin and enjoyed our stay very much! Lisa did a great job of getting the place ready and went the extra mile with treats and amenities in case we forgot something, She also told us to let her know if there was anything else we needed.

Since the weather wasn't very accomodating, we ended up spending a little more time in the cabin, but that worked out fine since it is such a nice cozy place to kick back, watch movies, play games or read books. Or, just sit on the couch and talk while listening to music and taking in the beautiful view of the lake through the front windows. We did get a couple of opportunities to take a spin on the solar powered pontoon boat which was really easy to operate, and very enjoyable for us while being out on the lake. I fell in love with that little boat!

There was also plenty to do in the town of Mora with thrift stores, antiques, a movie theater, and plenty of places to eat. It was always a good feeling to get back to the cabin after a few hours in town and enjoy the atmosphere of the place. We will keep "Peace of Pine" in mind for next summer and cross our fingers that the weather will be better. Thanks for everything Lisa!

Owner's Response: Oh Thank you and you are so welcome! The town of Mora is small but has a variety of things to do. We also have a golf course, bowling alley and a History center. You can check these places out on your next visit.....or of course stay at the cabin and enjoy the peace of the pines. Thanks again!

Peace of Pine is perfect.....

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was both beautiful and relaxing. Lisa keeps the cabin flawless. She is over the top accommodating and doesn't miss a detail. We enjoyed our outings on the pontoon and the fishing was great! We will be back and we've already recommended Peace of Pine to others. Love, love, loved it!

Even better than we expected!!

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our weekend at Peace of Pine. Canoeing, riding on the pontoon, camp fires, morning coffee in the screened in end of the attached garage facing the lake... Perfect in every way! So clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated! Very peaceful. We had read a review about mosquitoes so we brought our screen gazebo and set it up by the lake for evening sitting by the lake.

Owner's Response: Oh Yes, Minnesota's other name is MosquitoVille! They are all here and waiting to greet you. This year did seem different then most. They just simply popped out in one day and attacked in full force and then stayed a while. Love the portable gazebo idea! Happy to know you enjoyed our garage gazebo as well. Thank you for your thoughts. I hope to have you out again soon.
