The Chimney Sweep Well Apartment was in the “perfect “ location in Venice!
The three of us loved our time in Venice at the apartment! We enjoyed watching the gondolas early in the morning and late in the evenings from the dining area windows! Everything was perfect!!
Would stay again if we return to Venice.
Kimberly and her husband went out of their way to help us with weather updates. We came at a time of extreme flooding, but it didn’t keep us from enjoying Venice.
Kimberly and her husband are great hosts and you will find everything you need at their apartment!
Wonderful, excellent location!!
What a great place. Will definitely want to stay here next time we visit Venezia. Location was perfect for us and it was easy to get to as well. The directions given were perfect!! Loved watching the gondolas go by through the window.
Great place, great location
We had a wonderful experience. The place was spotless with two updated bathrooms, new washer and dryer It is also tucked away down a small alley. But the best thing was sitting at the dining room table as the gondoliers came by, especially the gondolas with musicians and singers! The location is perfect. You will have just a short walk to San Marco Square and to the Rialto Bridge where you can pick up the Vaporetto to Murano, Burano, etc.... and back to the airport. Good restaurants and shopping are literally just around the corner. Kimberly was very helpful answering our questions and offering advice. We would rent there again in a heartbeat!
We enjoyed the apartment very much, everything was as shown on booking. It was fun to watch the gondolas, listen to the singing and wave to the people. Location is great for going anywhere. We would certainly stay there again.
We loved this apartment for so many reasons! It was located just about between the Rialto Bridge and Plaza San Marcos (a bit closer to San Marcos) - a perfect location. There were great restaurants and shopping all around us. Our host, Kim, was the best -- she was extremely helpful with all our questions and provided plenty of local information (i.e., grocery store locations, local transportation, etc.). The apartment was very comfortable with easy access on the ground floor. Our group had all the privacy we needed with the 2 bedrooms, each with the en-suite bathrooms. One of the most entertaining parts of staying in the apartment was that the dining room window opens up to one of the smaller canals frequented by the gondolas. It was so much fun to sit at the table, have breakfast or an afternoon beverage and wave at our fellow tourists in their gondolas. I would highly recommend staying here!
A Great Location in San Marco
We stayed in the Chimney Sweep Well apartment for 3 days in late Sep 2018. It was in an excellent location just off the Calle dei Fabbri and this gave great access to all that San Marco had to offer... just 10 minutes to Rialto or St Marks Square . Kimberly was a very good host. Gondoliers cruised past our window serenading. As a two bedroom apartment it was ideal for us and recommended.
San Marco is one of six Sestrieri that make up the city of Venice. It is the Sestriere most visited by tourists. There are many historically significant attractions located in the Sestriere of San Marco. There is the famous Saint Mark's square, Saint Mark's Basilica, and The Doge's Palace (a gothic Palace where the Venetian Doge's lived). The Doge (Doge derives from Latin, which in English means Duke) Various Doge's ruled Venice for over a 1,000 years. The famous La Fenice (the phoenix) theatre. Harry's Bar which was made famous by Ernest Hemingway and many other celebrities that visited it over many years. This is only the tip of the iceberg of all the places you can visit in San Marco and Venice. There are another five Sestrieri to visit in Venice all which have
their own charms and treasures.
There are also the Islands of Lido, where the Venice Film Festival is held, and also where all the
beaches are located where you can rent an umbrella and lounger to sunbathe and swim. The Island of Murano where the famous glass factories are located. Burano a lovely fisherman’s Island with colourful homes and where you can buy Venetian lace. The Island of Torcello is a small boat ride away from Burano and was first settled in the year 452. There is also the Island of Giudecca.
