Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Get away to one of the last beach side homes in the resort district and enjoy a magical, sun-filled Florida vacation!

Our home -- with it's fabulous location, modern conveniences and rustic charm -- is unmatched from others on St Pete Beach. We are walking distance to hotels, restaurants and shopping, while nestled less than 30 seconds from the sand and surf. You have direct beach access from our street. In fact, the walk to the beach is shorter than the walk from the beach to the Gulf!

Even the locals are charmed when they walk into the home. Built on Jan. 12, 1933 with tongue-in-groove wood floors, walls and ceilings, the home captures the nostalgia of beach living with all the upgrades of today's comforts.

Come to our home and experience 7 miles of public beach to explore. Hunt for sea shells, enjoy a leisurely swim, fish if you feel like it. Walk out the front door and see brilliant sunrises to your left, spectacular sunsets to your right. You’ll find the perfect combination of sand, sea and sky at this destination.

We've also found our home to be perfect for parents and family members of a wedding party that want a home base to help coordinate but able to relax between festivities, this is your place! The home is a quiet retreat so we do not allow parties or large gatherings at the property. We even had folks come back to stay for their anniversary!

This two-story beach house includes 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths with a large deck and gas grill for cookouts under the night sky. The master bedroom on the second floor has a private balcony for two and the back garden has a second patio area suitable for sunbathing or just relaxing. And talk to us if you are interested in pool access.

For guests that may need to work while they're away, we have an in-home office that includes a phone/printer/scanner/copier and high-speed Wi-Fi. Please contact us if you need more information as we offer additional work-from-home capabilities.

Easy stroll to Dolphin Village for groceries or to drop into a CVS drugstore. Across the street is a popular pancake house, a well-known dinner spot, and a liquor store.

The beach also has free transportation services and if you want to explore, a trolley stop is a few steps from our front door to take you wherever you want to go.

The home has been in our family for over 60 years and holds a special place in our hearts. We still live on the beach and make sure this charmer is kept in excellent condition for our guests' enjoyment.

About The Owner

I am a beach girl in my heart, love swimming in the Gulf of Mexico, walks on the beach, fantastic sunsets, and the sand between my toes. This home has been in our family for over 60 years and we are delighted to share it with our guests. We think you'll find it as special as we do.

The Owner purchased this house in 1951

Why The Owner chose Saint Pete Beach

It's one-of-a-kind home! It offers a quiet retreat moments from a pristine beach and nestled among all the great attractions - giving you the best of both worlds.

It is a true beach home with all the comforts of today's living. Spend your day with sand in your toes or read a book on the back deck after a morning swim. In the evening, take a stroll to the local restaurant for dinner and ice cream. But don't miss the sunset! They are spectacular and no one is the same!

What makes this house unique

This is a well-cared for and loved home that has been in our family for more than 60-years. We want you to have that home away from home feeling when you stay here.

We are close to everything so enjoy walking everywhere you need to go. And given our great location, we have many families stay with us as a retreat from all the wedding activity at the hotel; it's great for those looking to relax throughout all the celebrations!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Roses are red, beach life is great. Forget all your worries, erase your full slate. This beach house is perfect, it has lots of charm. Inside you'll feel safe, protected from harm. Check out the beaches, both near and afar. Take home some sand - fill up a jar. Use the grill once, or maybe twice. Shrimp on the barbie - it's really quite nice! Walk to the corner - Freakie Tiki is there. You'll find some cool stuff, and much you can wear. Sleep in till noon, or get up at dawn. Either way after sunset, you'll start to yawn. This place was perfect for these four pals. Come with your buddies - the best for us gals! Debbie the owner loves this place best. Living here's easy, and leaving's a test. Look for the cat - she often comes round. Don't worry about noises - the cat makes the sound. Thank you for sharing a home filled with love. We used all the corners like a hand fits a glove. We plan to return, and sit in the sun. Sadly for us, our week is now done.

Cozy beach cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was our third stay at the beach house and as always we found it spotless and well equipped. One trip to the grocery store and you're set to enjoy the beach or discover many of the local activities. The location is ideal as the highways are very easy to connect to. One of our favorite things to do in the early morning is to walk to Pass A Grill for a coffee. It's a 45 min walk there but well worth it as this beach is pristine and shell hunting is a must along the way. The owners have provided a book that takes the guess work out of where to eat and hot spots to discover. We highly recommend Agave a Mexican restaurant only 2 mins away by car and very reasonable prices. Don't leave the beach without booking a sunset sail that leaves from the Publixs grocery store mall. Captain Dan and his crew ensure that the evening will be memorable and you can bring a bottle of wine along for the ride. When you're exhausted from all the adventures you can always head back to the beach house for a BBQ on the Webber grill and relax in the fully equiped family room and watch a movie. The owners are very accommodating, you'll want to return again every year.

Excellent Beach Location

  • 5 of 5

We had little need for a car while staying here. Everything we wanted to do was withing walking distance: grocery store, bakery, restaurants, bars, and, of course, the beach. The house itself was a perfect spot for us. For teenage boys and 2 adults, the busy St. Pete Beach neighborhood enclave was perfect. We had plenty of space to find our own spots to curl up with a book or video game. Internet was reliable, as was the cable TV. The backyard patio had a fabulous, clean grill and plenty of seating for sun and shade. The house is older, and has some "quirks", such as a dutch door between the two upstairs bedrooms, and a curtain instead of a door on the downstairs bedroom, but no one felt their privacy was compromised. All of those features allowed for airflow throughout the house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The appliances were good quality, and everything was very clean. The busy location near restaurants and bars can mean some noise at night on the weekends, so if you are looking for quiet isolation, this is not the place for you. But if you like to run on the beach first thing in the morning and walk to restaurants and shopping, this is a perfect spot!

Charming, meticulously clean and just steps from the beach

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time! We loved the house and its history. We enjoyed the spaciousness inside as well as the backyard deck. The house itself is adorable and supplied with everything you need to feel like you’re home. Just steps from the beach, restaurants and shopping, it is located in the middle of everything! We have visited St. Pete several times, and wish we would’ve found this treasure much sooner!

Sounds of the surf and the ocean!

  • 5 of 5

This home, so comfortable and relaxing with all of the up-to-date amenities, was so close to the beach that you could hear the surf and enjoy the scents of the ocean! All amenities, grocery etc. were within walking distance, and many restaurants were either within walking distance or a short drive away. The owner was only a phone call away and very helpful. Definitely recommend this charming home in St. Pete Beach!

We really enjoyed our stay at St. Pete Beach. Deborah was great and gave us several wonderful tips on our stay. We wanted something close to the beach and this house was just that! The house was just as advertised and I am sure we will return there for another great vacation! Thanks Deborah for the use of your home!
