Perched on a hill and nestled in the trees, West Ridge 119 offers a wonderful combination of privacy and first-class accommodations. This home features a large main room, cathedral ceilings which loom over the rustic yet functional kitchen/dining/living area, and a gorgeous stone fireplace to warm the whole area. On the first floor, the beds available are a twin-over-twin bunk and a twin-over-full bunk. The main floor features a queen-size bed, a queen-size sleeper sofa, a full-size bed, and a twin-size bed. On the third floor is a queen-size sleeper sofa and a king-size bed. Decks surrounding the house provide spectacular, panoramic vistas, and there is also a protected porch covering a large, 6-to-8-person hot tub. After a long, fun day on the slopes, this is the perfect place to relax and reflect on the day. Enjoy Satellite TV with over 100 channels to choose from, Internet access, and local phone service. This home also includes an outdoor gas grill.

The driveway is very steep, so four-wheel-drive vehicles with chains are required to rent this home in winter.

About Owner/Property Manager

First Tracts Real Estate and Rentals rose from simple beginnings, and has become a premier real estate business at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. Alumni of WVU, co-owners Peter Monico and Dave Simmons, with degrees in business/communications and business, worked for Playground Destination Properties, and gained knowledge and wisdom in the real estate market in our region. With three years under their belt, Pete and Dave branched out and created their own real estate business on the mountain.

In April of 2007, First Tracts was formed. Two years later we began the popular Rental Management division of the company, managing just a small handful of homes.

Ok rental

Wasn't all that impressed with the property. There was mouse poop on two of the beds when we arrived to put our sheets on them. The walls are pretty marked up. There were only two small frying pans in the kitchen. The windows were difficult to open and close. There wasn't any propane for the grill. They have added a hot tub since the last review and that was nice. The basement room has a dehumidifier and that needed to be emptied a few times to keep the room nice. But it's really loud and we couldn't run it while we were sleeping. A few deck screws had come up and were just laying on the floor. Snowshoe resort is great!

Owner's Response: Thank you very kindly for your feedback regarding Suiza/Westridge 119. As soon as I received it, I went to the house myself to do a thorough inspection. The house was cleaned a day before your arrival, to allow for your early check-in, and I am embarrassed that a mouse snuck inside in the interim. We very infrequently get one, but out in the woods, it can happen. I have set a trap. Though I saw no sign of a mouse myself (and I am quite thorough), they can be sneaky, and I appreciate you letting me know. I do realize that the walls of the lowest bedroom (the one that exits to the garage) and the adjacent staircase walls leading to the main level are in need of a fresh coat of paint. We repaint this area each autumn, in preparation for the ski season. Those walls in particular get scuffed with folks loading their gear into and out of the house. The paint in the rest of the home is clear of marks. We take great pride in sharing this home with guests, and want you to be comfortable in your surroundings. I understand that our large skillets have “walked away”. I now have replacements on order, and they are slated to be delivered very soon. I do hope you noticed that the kitchen was otherwise well stocked, with a variety of saucepans as well as bakeware, crockpot, and a new Keurig, as well as a standard coffee maker. I���ve no idea where the propane tank went for the gas grill, but it is my understanding that the rental management company responded promptly when it was reported to them, and brought out another right away, so you could use it as planned. I am very happy that the dehumidifier worked out well for your group. In an area where air conditioning is not usually available, I find it keeps the room quite nice in summer. I turn mine off at night as well. I did a thorough deck inspection at your recommendation, and found that it is well built and is very solid. The screws you noticed were from our old reclining Adirondack chairs that have been wearing out due to our extreme winter conditions. They are being replaced gradually with the more “weather-resistant” metal deck chairs that I hope you had the chance to try, as the sunsets are spectacular from the deck. So happy you all enjoyed the hot tub! Thank you again for your feedback, and this opportunity to address your concerns.

great house but no hot tub

Just recently rented this house and everything was great. The only problem we had was that there was no hot tub and no internet access. I was ok with not having either of these but it was a little disappointing since it is advertised that they are included with the house. Hot tub and internet aside, I would definitely recommend this house as it was beautiful and in a great location.
