Great Place for Families and perfect location!

We had a great trip and enjoyed the sledding right down the street. The home was very nice and perfect for 2 families with kids. The kids room was huge and they loved being up there.

Amy was very helpful and extremely flexible with us. There was a record amount of snow the week before we arrived. The home had everything we needed and was very warm & cozy.

Where do you live?

A very nice, worthy place

This is a very nice place, clean, comfortable, convenient and quiet. I was a bit concerned when I first drove in because parking seemed to be limited, but I never had any problem and parked in the same space for four weeks. The cabin (villa) was modern and had everything I needed. I selected it initially for it's location and because its description said it was walk-in at ground level. I'm getting too old for stairs, and although the villa was two stories, I only had to go up stairs to do laundry, because laundry facilities were on the second floor. The kitchen was very nice and seemed to have everything although I went there to ski and not to cook: all I usually need is a microwave and corkscrew, and both were present and workable. I was there about two weeks before I looked out the back window and discovered a very large deck with all kinds of deck/patio furniture. Very nice but I was there by myself and didn't use it. I've been going to Lake Tahoe and staying in Incline Village for many years, and this villa was the best for me. The owner was helpful and accommodating, the villa had everything and the skiing was excellent. Perfect.

Nice and convenient

The home is super convenient to the snow and grocery store. Raley's is just a hop and skip away. The golf course was covered in snow so the kids had a wonderful time playing (and it was free!). We were able to walk there which was really nice.

It was great that the home was able to sleep 10 guests. The 2nd bedroom with the bunk beds upstairs was huge and acted as a 2nd living room. It was outfitted with a TV and cable upstairs so the kids stayed upstairs with plenty of room while the adults hung out downstairs. The parking was a bit challenging in the complex but we followed what other people did and parked on the side of the street/embankment.

The one complaint I had was the pots and pans that were offered for use. For a house that can sleep 10 people, there were only pots and pans to cook for 2-3 people. We expected to cook all our meals but found that the largest pot there was a 3 qt. pot that could barely fit one pound of pasta. The same goes for the pans, you could fry two eggs and that's about it. So we had to make due and cook everything in batches. However, there were plenty of plates, bowls, glasses and utensils for the group. It just seems unbalanced that there was enough of that for 10 people. So I would suggest to travelers, if you intend on cooking your meal for more than 3 people, bring your own pot and pan. Other than that, the place was clean and there was plenty of replenishment supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Thanks!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review! I appreciate the feedback....sometimes pots/pans go missing in the cabin and it is not brought to my attention! We have ordered some new pots and pans in larger sizes to restock the kitchen. We hope you will stay again! -Amy

Excellent place to stay with the family.

My family of 5 stayed at Amy's home from December 25th to January 2. This house was so comfortable it felt like we were home for the holidays. Fortunately during our stay it snowed quite a bit and we were able to enjoy the various winter activities conveniently located near the house. Diamond Peak was just up the street and Mt. Rose less than 20 minutes away. Amy's home was fully stocked with almost everything you would need during your stay and was impeccably clean. There was more than enough room to lounge indoors and to relax after a day on the slopes. I highly recommend Amy's home and would not hesitate for a moment to rent it again.
