About Pam and John Fisher
John and Pam met in Aspen on Easter Sunday 1971. Their first encounter was in church and 'yes' it was love at first sight, which neither of us believe in. Somehow we just knew. We spent 5 hours together and got to know each other. Here we are 46 years later, still in Aspen. We have one son, Travis, and one daughter , Tate! Tate has three daughters who bless us continually. We love God and all that He has provided for us in this beautiful and quiet town. We love hosting other people as a Bed and Breakfast (call) or lending you the entire home. 970-925-2484, 970-618-4830.
Pam and John Fisher purchased this House in 1989
Why Pam and John Fisher chose Knollwood
Everyone who stays here raves about the privacy and the comfort of our home. We BUILT our own home from the ground up, since both of us work in Aspen and are skilled in building and there is no place more beautiful. Our son, Travis, and our daughter, Tate, helped from the foundation to the roof. John taught Pam and our 14 yr. old son, Travis, (at the time) how to wire the home! It was indeed a wonderful and rewarding experience. John still teaches woodworking and drafting at Aspen High School and this is his 48th year. He is also a general contractor.
What makes this House unique
Our home is at the end of a very quiet street, the last home on the right on the cul de sac. We feel like we are the only people so often, tucked in the aspen trees. You do not have to drive; walking, biking or taking the 'Dial A Ride' shuttle van allows freedom to get into town and experience all of the many restaurants and entertainment, without the work of finding an expensive parking spot. Aspen becomes a cultural center in the summer. In winter the view opens up as the leaves fall off and leave only the evergreens to keep you company. Winter or summer this is a great location for those who do not want to be in the hubbub of downtown Aspen but be close enough to be there in 5 minutes. We love this location and the sweetness this home affords. Our neighbors are all dear. John has built Pam two tables and a porch swing you will be able to enjoy. Great Family or Group gathering home. Pool table in the basement and a separate tv area from the upstairs.
No pets allowed.

What a caring loving couple with a very comfortable home.
Great location, nice people. Highly recommend. Very comfortable feel and quiet, close to town.
Home away from home
Pam is an absolutely wonderful host. Although we were renting out the house rather than staying as B&B guests, she went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Not only did she bake brownies and french toast for our larger group, she made sure to give us an incredibly thorough tour of the home so that we would know exactly where to find anything we needed and how to best use the amenities available. Not only did they make the stay enjoyable but they provided ample information about the best places to eat and spend time in the Aspen area. Pam and her Husband John are kind and loving people, who truly want to get to know the people they welcome into their home. I highly recommend a stay here and will be returning as soon as I am able! Thank you both!
Awesome!!!! This home is so quiet and welcoming. It is like home!!!
We are family, but there is no place like this where you can rest and restore and yet feel so energized to go everywhere in Aspen , whether we walked, biked, took the bus which comes to the door for one dollar, or drove!!!! You do not need a car so you save lots on the parking costs. You can go to the mountain, go to the Music tent, or the Theatre in the Park, take every hike you desire or ride your bikes. It is phenomenal... it is hand built by John and Pam and the family! ... ... and and filled with love. Lots of outdoor seating and two porch swings make it easy to stay outdoors even when at home. You can play bocce ball outdoors or play pool or ping pong inside!!!
It sits in one of the most quiet neighborhoods I have ever been in, yet so close to town!!
Wonderful... clean and spacious.
The accommodations of this home were more that adequate they were luxurious. The room was clean and comfortable with a very comfortable bed. Each bedroom has an adjoining bathroom for privacy. The family room was comfortable and well equipped for rest and relaxation. The house had a great common area: living room and dinning room where breakfast was served.
The breakfast was fabulous! Pam willingly made breakfast to order with fresh fruit.
I would highly recommend this home to everyone wanting a bed and breakfast experience in the Roaring Fork Valley. Pam and John are such loving, caring and gracious hosts treating us like family.
When our schedule permits, Pam's Bed & Breakfast is on our bucket list to return and have another great experience in this beautiful spot with such a sensitive and caring couple as our hosts.
What a sweet compliment to us. We love having the home full of people who want to relax and enjoy the total and true beauty of this place. This is home away from home. We do rent the entire home for any time people want to be on their very own. Our home is kid friendly and we have a very sweet feel to our home. Come and try it out... Or come spend the pre -Christmas days here and celebrate Christmas or New Year's in front of the fireplace.
This home was a great summer experiance for my family. We all had private bedrooms and baths. I could see the stars from my bedroom and slept so well. The kitchen had anything I needed for cooking. We spent time in the backyard barbqueing any evening that were home, as the weather was just beautiful! Downtown Aspen is just down the road so it was very quick and convienient to get into town. The boys enjoyed the pool table, large flat screen and sectional for the ball games. Perfect for a weeks vacation, but we did not want to leave ! What a great gathering place. I would recommended it to anyone . Go to Peaches for breakfast and Giseles for Happy Hour.
Our home is the most peaceful and comfortable place most of our guests have been. At least that is what THEY say. We are nestled in the aspen and pine trees just 1 mile from the core of Aspen, in a cul de sac, secluded , far enough to be quiet and close enough to be convenient. There is unbeatable hiking and biking here. And Maroon Bells is a must see in the summer. You can see it in the winter if you do a snowmobile tour from T Lazy 7 Ranch. Aspen Mountain is just one mile away and the bus to the other 3 mountains is available from our door. Our restaurants and bars are truly unmatched. We have many art museums and a wonderful library and lots and lots of unique shops. Our neighbors are all very kind and helpful. Our home was the only one at the end of this cul de sac until 2014, Now the homes next door range from $7 million to 10 million. People consider this the new RED MOUNTAIN.
No car needed as we are on the bus route. You can walk to the bottom of our hill and take the bus for free, walk into town just one mile, or call Dial a Ride and take the bus from our front door for $1 and kids and seniors are free... It is a one of a kind home built by Aspen High School Woodworking and drafting Teacher for 47 years, John Fisher himself. He has graduated a lot of local kids and knows a lot of families.
We built this home from the ground up and hired a lot of local contractors and kids to help! It is well insulated and you feel a difference in here.
