Pretty Good Condo, Questionable Management Company

  • 2 of 5

The price is fair and the place is in pretty decent shape. Dining room chairs are wobbly, no hair dryer, no bbq, very little dish soap, and no laundry soap. Everything else was fine and we enjoyed our stay.

Check in is at 5:00pm and check out is at 10:00am. That’s a bit much imo.

Management property people were helpful when we had to reschedule due to fires. Our original reservation was for 4 nights. However, instead of 4 days they apparently put us in for 3. I called the day of and confirmed 4. The girl on the phone confirmed my checkout on the 4th day. On the 4th day I was called and emailed that I was charged extra due to staying an extra day. I called to rectify it but was charged for “an extra night stay”. The lady on the phone didn’t understand what I was saying so I just ended the conversation so that I could enjoy my last night. I’ll call to resolve the matter later.

very good and reasonably priced

  • 4 of 5

This was a very comfortable condo with beautiful views of the mountains. It felt remote even though it was still close to shops and markets. Although the furnishings are older, it is still well maintained, clean, and has a huge new tv in the living room as well as flat screen tvs in each of the bedrooms. We really liked this place and will come back next year.

Barely adequate rental

  • 2 of 5

I have to agree with the previous reviewer. This place is tired. Fridge and washer are the newest appliances. Heaters are either all on, or all off -- the master bedroom was freezing the first night and then stifling the second night when we finally set the heat all the way up to get it to even turn on. The old school Mr. Coffee had a mis-matched carafe that required me to push up on the brew-stop valve so it didn't overflow. Carpets are old and bleached from the sun. Bed coverings were old and stained. Plastic covers on the furniture made for a particularly tacky touch. Bright spot was the living area in the second level. Decent couch. Kitchen utensils were plentiful but old. If you can't find another unit, consider this. Otherwise, look some more.

Unit was okay but will not rent again

  • 3 of 5

This unit needs to be remodeled, it was built in the 70's and is still stuck there. Fireplace didn't work well or perhaps it was the damp wood that didn't want to burn. The heaters took a long time to heat the house and once the house was hot, they couldn't be turned down. The heater downstairs from between the bedrooms didn't work... BURR! Neighbors could be heard clearly during our stay. Thank goodness I packed earplugs. It's unfortunate that the cupboards are completely lacking basic kitchen spices. On the positive side, the washer and dryer worked well and the shower water heated up in no time. Luckily we were able to check in before 5:00pm. It would have been nice to have had movies for the DVD player available.

Owner's Response: Hi there, I apologize that it took a while for your unit to heat up! Unfortunately, we do not supply DVDs, but there is a Redbox in Vons where you can rent movies! I will talk with our quality control to get this unit updated so its not so stuck in the 70's! Thank you for sharing your experience and we look forward to hosting you again.
