Exceptionally scenic and private location: bold open ocean to the left (east), facing the yachting & fishing harbour of Port Medway across the bay and the tranquility of the bay to the right (west) which makes the location ideal for yachting, kayaking and canoeing. Yet, it only take a mere 15-20 mins to drive to either the vibrant town of Bridgewater or the historic town of Liverpool, home of the 'Privateers.' Also close proximity to the most beautiful beaches of Nova Scotia, e.g. Cherry Hill Beach, Beach Meadows, Carter's, Summerville and more! This cedar log home is brand new and offers all necessary amenities including the usage of 2 kayaks and/or a paddle boat.

While there were some very nice touches, and the place was clean,the overall experience was a disappointment. The property was on the water, but there really was no access. We tried following some "paths" a couple of times, but was very overgrown and marshy. Lots of poison ivy, so wear long pants if you try. The host Stephen and Donna were gracious and helpful, only complaint there was that Stephen called me at 7:30 am on Sunday morning to ask me to call him the next day after 12 noon. I think that that early morning call could have waited until later on Sunday. Last negative, and it was significant for us. There are a lot of stairs here and the risers are tall, not to code. The kitchen is in the lower level and we had difficulty getting up and down those lower stairs, especially when trying to carry food or drinks up to the living area. Just a caution if you have any problems climbing or with knees/hips. Also, last note, there was no microwave, so no way to reheat coffee/tea or leftovers. Guess we're used to the inexpensive convenience.

We enjoyed staying in your cottage. The drive instructions you gave us lead us directly to the house. There was everything available we needed.

We will never forget the albino dear we met on the private road. It really made us a big pleasure sitting and talking with you together the last evening at a glas of very good wine. Thank you so much. We will recommand you to our friends.
