About the property

Our home blends the charm of New Mexico with our own artistry

Our territorial style home with a one bedroom loft has trapezoidal windows that lookout at the Sandia Mountains. Watching the mountain change to watermelon pink is one of the favorite sundown pastimes! Our outdoor space includes a pergola with comfy furniture to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening around the fire! Also, our couch in the main room accommodates two extra people and a blow up bed for an additional two people fits in the bedroom alcove.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My boyfriend and I stayed here 4 nights in July and absolutely LOVED the experience. Britt and Stephen make you feel right at home. They're super easy going and laid back which is what you need after a long day on the road! They had all the creature comforts you would need (including a wireless printer which is SUPER handy for printing boarding passes) and even picked up some local magazines for us so we had ideas on what to do while we were in town. The art in and around the house is beautiful and the sitting area in the back is so peaceful. We spent many nights enjoying the weather and even watched an intense storm from there, it was awesome! We're pretty independent and didn't need much assistance from our hosts but we knew they were available to us if we needed them. We would both stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, Corralles is a lovely little town, lots of good eats.

We loved staying at this casita! It was full of charming art pieces, inside and out. It was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 weeks and loved it! It truly felt like home. The art pieces were amazing. There were several outside areas to sit and enjoy the great New Mexico weather. The view of the Sandia mountains was incredible. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular! Corrales was a charming little town, with lots of horses and other animals. It was quiet and had some really good restaurants. We sure hope to come back someday!

Owner's Response: We love making our guests feel at home. This is the highest compliment. A great deal of thoughtfulness has gone into creating our environment and we are so happy when our guests enjoy their time in our vacation spot. Of course we are excited when they like all our artwork as we have created most of it!

Incline Village

This place is golden!

  • 5 of 5

This sweet casita was so perfect! We arrived late in the evening and Britt was very accommodating. She left the lights on for us, which was necessary, as it was dark and located in the country. We walked through the gate into the courtyard and stood there with our mouths open, saying "Is this our house?" Well taken care of and very clean, this place has everything you might need for your stay. Comfy cozy furniture and fireplace, full kitchen and plenty of room. The views were awesome, with the Sandia mountains outside the front windows, beautiful morning sunshine and a look to the south in the morning to spy hot air balloons! Very private and quiet, with a few 'barks', which actually added to the peaceful, country feel. Britt was very helpful in showing us around the house, all the 'ins and outs'. The owners gave us our privacy but we're there if we needed anything. Beautiful art work inside and outside on the property. Beautiful open space. Nice location-cute town of Corralles, horses across the street, only 30 min into Albuquerque and close driving distance to outdoor activities and entertainment. We rode our bikes on the Bosque trail by the Rio Grande river and hiked at Petriglyphs Nat. monument, about 20 min away. Mountain biking in the Sandias-40 min drive. Plenty more to explore. The only caution I would give is to watch the beams in the upstairs bedroom loft. They are low, but if you can remember and not hit your head, it's quite nice up there. If I get another opportunity to stay here, I will! Absolutely loved it and have been telling all my friends about it. Britt, thank you so much for offering this lovely place.

Such a wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was another wonderful experience. The house has a lovely outdoor space complete with pergola and fireplace and is very private and soothing. The artwork throughout the yard and the house adds a special touch as you are surrounded by interesting and colorful pieces. Everything you could need is provided and the coffee, fruit, muffins and juice were a welcoming touch. The surrounding town is quite scenic with mountains, parks, bike trails and hiking close by. Lots of good restaurants in the area too. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves once again!

Corrales is a small but welcoming agricultural village located in the bosque of the Rio Grande River and retains a strong connection to its historical heritage and rural character. It is nestled between Albuquerque and Rio Rancho but seems worlds away due to its pastoral surroundings.

Corrales is a National Historic Byway and visitors and locals alike find solace in the river sanctuaries abundant with birds and wildlife. Also, we are located very close to Balloon Fiesta Park and the Albuquerque area has great skiing, biking and hiking as well as fabulous museums and art galleries. All our visitors love to ride the tramway to the top of Sandia Peak where they enjoy hiking, dining and incredible views.

Corrales is also close to Santa Fe where opportunities for viewing Art and wonderful shopping abound.
