Quiet, and close to all your needs.

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, yet close to food and unique shopping in historic High Springs. GREAT restaurants, a PLAYHOUSE, movie house, and with Gainesville around 30 minutes for shopping mall and many restaurants and other activities. The kitchen will let you cook if you wish. New public and Winn-Dixie close. 5 tv's to make everyone happy. Now that we know our way around...we'll be back. !!!

JDS and group.

This home was perfect for our family gathering. We slept all 12 of us in this house with out difficulty. The pull out sofa had a wonderful pillow top on it and the kids slept great on it. There is only one bathroom but we managed with out difficulty as there was plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. I would recommend this home to anyone and we will be back.

Great location but room for improvement

  • 3 of 5

The location of this house could not be better for visiting the Springs!!!! If you are a large family who is looking for a cozy house with sleeping for 10 (not 12 unless you use air mattress ) this is suitable. But we did have several issues that were somewhat hard to digest. When you first walk into the house you are assaulted by an extremely strong moth ball smell. The house was not cleaned well with many surfaces covered in dust and the bathroom sink, fridge and kitchen needing cleaning. The main couch was wripped, worn, and when we opened it to use the pullout the bed frame was missing and the mattress was smushed , covered in leaves, dirt, and silverfish. Upon arrival (after a fairly bad Florida thunderstorm) a glass table had been overturned in the yard and glass was shattered everywhere. It took the owner 2 days to get it cleaned up. There were hornets nests on the patio so we couldn't sit out there much. Despite the house being dirty, glass on the patio, and some other issues we did still enjoy the house. Additionally, there is a gigantic quarry adjacent to the house which our kids thought was pretty cool. When you travel with a large group and want to be close to the springs and have down time to cook and relax it beats a local motel . The shower was hot, there was enough room for all to eat together, plenty of linens and towels, and the beds were comfortable and the price was awesome! All this being said, If you care more about the springs and your company than cleanliness this is a perfect getaway! We had a great time!

The perfect place

  • 5 of 5

Diver's Den was a perfect vacation home for anyone that wants to visit the springs in the area and has a large family. The convience of the location allowed my daughter to enjoy Blue springs with the small kids while the rest of us (along with 5 teenage) girls to tube down the Ichetucknee springs. The only problem was one bathroom for 12 people.

Great location!!

  • 4 of 5

We traveled to High Springs with another family looking for a spot that would accommodate the six of us as well as provide everything we needed to cook dinner in the evenings. This spot was perfect! Everyone had their own room, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of board games for the family. We spent our evenings out back. There was a nice breeze coming through on such a hot day! It is literally right down the road from 3 different springs. We had divers and snorkelers in our group and really enjoyed Ginnie Springs. If you have divers in your party I highly recommend making the 45 min. drive to Devil's Den and Blue Grotto! Great snorkeling as well. Owner was prompt to fix a minor unforeseen problem we had. One thing however, grill is charcoal, not gas, so don't forget your charcoal! We had a great mini-vacation here!
