Waterfront Home, Private Dock on Perdido Bay, Bring the Boat!

Bedrooms 3
Space 2,500 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7-8)

Our home is ideal for the relaxed, casual vacationer. We have decorated each room with local poster art from festivals and fun hand carved tropical wildlife. We have a room with board games, a large den with 51' television, a cozy sitting space with wood burning fireplace and a wonderfully large, fully equipped eat in kitchen that seats nine.

There are two picnic areas outside, a grilling area, wrap around deck and a 160' private dock from which you can watch the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It's perfect for mooring shallow watercraft, personal watercraft, water volley ball or just relaxing on a float.

About Judith Sasser

Our family has always enjoyed the relaxed lifestyle of Innerarity Point and the beautiful bay, intracoastal and gulf waters. We raised our children on Innerarity Point and are all frequent visitors to the area. You cannot beat the combination of easy waterfront living, friendly people and convenient shopping and dining. I am a licensed real estate agent/owner of this property.

Judith Sasser purchased this house in 1994

Why Judith Sasser chose North West Florida

This was our personal home that we chose to keep and convert to a vacation rental. We hope other families enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this house unique

It's wonderful to have a private dock from which to crab, net fish or cast a line. Nothing beats cooking up your own fresh catch of the day.

Great Location. Loved the private setting.

  • 5 of 5

This property met all our vacation needs. We were visiting our son who is currently at NAS. We were close to the base, and close to the beach. We loved the private setting, and the view is gorgeous. Judith is a great owner, and very easy to work with. We even arrived to fresh cut flowers in the kitchen. Thanks to the pet friendly policy, we were able to surprise our son with a visit from his furry best friend. He misses his dog so much. Would definitely rent this home again.

Owner's Response: The house is very convenient to guests visiting their family members and friends stationed at the Naval Air Station and Corey Field. It allows everyone to enjoy each other in a relaxed atmosphere on the bay and also taking advantage of the nearby beach activities.

We love Judith...her hospitiality and her home

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time we had St. Pattys Day weekend at Perdido Key. Judith was warm and very informative recommending place to see. We come to Gulf Shores often but this was the 1st time staying here.

The house (esp the kitchen and living room) were huge. We had another couple coming w us. Unfortunately the backed out last minute. It really was more house for just myself, my hubby and my 12lb shih-tzu...but we loved it

The house sleeps many people. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs.....but really only 2 bedrooms for privacy. Since there was only 2 of us, privacy was no issue. The only thing that was strange was the metal staircase in the kitchen going upstairs. It is kinda narrow and no dog will go up there themselves. My suggestion would be to relocate the stairs or we would do away w the metal stairs all together and replace to wooden ones.

We loved have a pier to walk out and sit on. We planned on fishing and dolphin watching but unfortunately the water was way too shallow for either of these too. Even though a long pier, the water level was only a couple feet deep. If you like swimming, (esp w little kids) this could be perfect for you. There is a little dock off the pier for swimming or laying out. This weekend was unseasonably cold. And I am not a swimmer. Sunshine only for me.

Location was very nice. We do go to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach more. The area is going the road repair. So going the the Flora-Bama, it was only about 7miles away but took about 40minutes. Orange Beach DOT has got to get this figured out.

Lastly, we rented this because it was "Pet Friend;y". It is very private and our Sophie loved her space. But, if you are bringing your dog, make sure they are dosed up on flea meds. Since we are coming out of the winter months, I hadnt give Sophie treatments in a few months. The lawn is florida grass w sand....so there were sand fleas. She's allergic to them. We go home and had to give her 2 baths. Not too many fleas but the welts from the bites are still here 2 weeks later. Dose up your pups!

Overall....we had a great time! Thx you again, Judith!

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed the house. The depth of the bay varies on the time of year. Winter months there is a prevailing north wind that blows the water from the bay, summer months the opposite. It is good for families with young children. I will have the yard sprayed by a professional immediately.

Can't believe the 5 star reviews

  • 1 of 5

Don't believe the reviews. Combination of leaking roof, outside doors that have 1 inch gaps, dangerous spiral staircase in middle of kitchen, junk in the yard, an antique flat screen TV (my wife thought they were blurring the faces to protect the innocent), very marginal furniture and bedrooms that can only be accessed by going through other bedrooms made this place the worst rental we've ever been in. Boat and jet ski lifts pictured have not worked for years. There is so little water, even at end of dock, at low tide that our 10 foot inflatable RIB did not have enough water to float. Only good things that I can say about the place was that it was clean, had comfortable beds, and had a large enough and isolated yard that I could let our dog loose to run.
