Spectacular sunset and foliage views!

  • 5 of 5

What a magical place to enjoy foliage season! The house is immaculate, carefully appointed, and well-stocked with everything you'll need. Beds and living room / sunroom furnishings are extremely comfortable. Washer and dryer on the premises is very convenient. The westerly views provide amazing sunset viewing, which when you add the foliage covered mountains across the lake, makes for spectacular scenery. We spent the majority of our week seated by the firepit in comfortable Adirondack chairs.

Lake George Village is only 20 minutes away. House is also a great launching point for day trips to golf courses (at least 4 within 8 miles), hiking trails (less than a mile), Fort Ticonderoga (1 hour), Saratoga (30 minutes), Lake Placid (less than 2 hours), and Cooperstown (2.5 hours). There also several wineries and breweries in the area that offer tours and tastings.

Can't think of a better way to spend a week in Autumn, we'll be back!

A truly relaxing experience for our family.

  • 5 of 5

The house was a perfect fit for our group of 11. This was a family getaway for my wife and I's immediate families. We had our parents in their 60's, siblings in their 20-30's and one 18 month old. The house has very few steps overall and the queen bedrooms are on the first floor which makes it easy on those who can not climb stairs easily. Access to the water and dock is only a few short steps.

The property was clean and well maintained, All of the bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked with toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, towels and linens - they even smelled good. The house feels larger than the pictures, which was a pleasant surprise. Great flow, and we never felt crowded. We loved the large kitchen - stocked with everything you need, and then some. And we used the grill everyday. The sun room was perfect for relaxing and I had coffee in the rocking chairs out on the deck every morning.

We brought our own fold-able 6 ft table and added it to the picnic table outside. The house has extra chairs that we used so that we could all sit together at once. We ate out there every night.

The fire pit was roaring every night and we made good use of the FREE wood stocked up in front of the house. It seemed as though every detail was thought out. Even the house decor was welcoming and very home-y with plenty of natural light.

We only wish the house had another kayak so we could go out together - or a tandem kayak for 2 people at a time. But we were grateful for the single kayak and paddle boat. Also, the ladder on the dock is on the same side as where the rental boat needed to dock so we couldn't use it when the boat was parked. it would help if there was a ladder on both sides.

We had a rental boat most of the week and the dock fit it perfectly - It was a 19 ft deck boat. You should have knowledge of how to use mooring whips to secure it to the dock. The waves can get a bit rough at times. But no problem as long as you tie it up right.

We enjoyed boating everyday, hiking, biking, fishing, but the view from the house and the peace from being away from it all was the best part. A truly relaxing vacation. The house is only 15 minutes to Lake George town and only about 5 minutes to a country store with all necessities and also a vegetable stand one mile down the road from the house. I would recommend this property to a friend and we are already thinking about what week to book next year.

My family and I stayed for a week and there is absolutely nothing I can say bad about it! Beautiful home, lots of space, peaceful and secluded, yet very close to everything.... The sunset is amazing over the lake! We will definitely go again!

Fantastic spot on the quiet side of the Lake

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I took our Mothers to this wonderful house on Lake Geoge. Mom is 96 and her friend is 85 and they had a wonderful time being near the water, touring the lake and having a great trip on one the the wonderful tour boats on the lake.

The house was beautiful right on the water so the views from the house is what you see in the picture. There was a wonderful kitchen that had everything needed whether you wanted to cook and bake for a few of many!

The living room and sunporch were so inviting for watching TV or reading a great book! Bedrooms were large and all had ceiling fans and AC. Bathrooms were great and very spacious with great showers.

The location is perfect as Lake George Village is only twenty minutes away so you are away from all the crowds in season.

I loved our stay and we will return again and again!
