Wonderful time with family.
Very nice weekend. Skiing was great. The room would benefit from having a humidifier in the room..
Please update the mattress in the room and stock some firmer pillows. Also, room needs a humidifier. Lovely staff and good amenities
Anne, thank you for your review, as the owner I find that mattresses & pillows are a personal preference, I stayed in the room just after your stay and found the mattress to be in very good order. Other guests have stayed since and have not said the mattress or pillows are an issue. The pillows are what the Lodge uses throughout the hotel. The humidifier is again a personal preference and is not something the hotel or we provide. We have owned and rented multiple studio's with in the Lodge for several years and have not had a comment regarding a humidifier previously.
High end property at Stowe
Thank you for the use of your property at Stowe, We had a great weekend, The studio is very nice. The high ceilings make for a very open and roomy feel. Bathroom is roomy and well stocked with nice towels. Bell service and Valet are all very attentive. Ski/Snowboard Valet is a great service! Would recomend to anyone. Room has a nice view of Mt Mansfield. Building is at base of Spruce Peak, easy access to Over Easy Gondola. Spruce has plenty of green and blue trails with a few diamonds. Good sun during the day.
Over all a very nice stay. Thank you again.

Stowe mountain resort is an amazing place to stay. It has everything you need. The room had high ceilings, a fireplace, was very comfortable and a great view of the mountain. I would highly reccommend this studio.
Great location, room was amazing. Would come back for sure!
So pleased you enjoyed your stay. We would love to have you stay again next time.
Great hotel great location, annoying deposit policy for this unit.
Stow mountain lodge is a great resort with lots of amenities, nice restaurants, outdoor / indoor heated pool, etc. The unit we stayed at is a relatively spacious studio. The only thing is, if you want to do more than a sandwich, the kitchen counter is tiny. What was a major irritant about this particular rental unit was the damage deposit treatment. Upon booking, they charged my credit card a very large damage deposit (almost as much as my rental) that was only refunded 14 days after my departure. This is highly unusual. Normally, the hotel takes an authorization on the card and then releases it upon departure. And this hotel also took a large authorization for possible damages even though I was already charge a large amount by the unit owner. There is no reason for anybody to actually charge my card and refund it 2 weeks later. For this reason, I do not recommend this particular unit.
To clarify when a guest books the studio we do not know the person and so we take a $500 damage deposit incase a guest causes damage to the studio. In cases where there has been damage caused it can take up to 2 weeks to get an estimate on the damage repair and is why VRBO automatically refunds the damage deposit 14 days after the departure date. When ever I have rented a property it is normal to pay a damage deposit. The hotel takes an authorization for incidental charges around the resort (resort charging). The kitchenette is set up for cooking breakfast & lunches, it is not for cooking dinners and is why the studio is set up with lunch plates & cereal bowls and not dinner plates.
