About Liz Dye

Born and raised in Missoula!

Liz Dye purchased this condo in 2006

Why Liz Dye chose Missoula

My husband and I are both from Montana. I was born and raised in Missoula and grew up seeing the Wilma building most every day. The Wilma is such an iconic piece of this great town, when the building was converted to condo's, we jumped at the chance to purchase this piece of Missoula history.

What makes this condo unique

LOVE that we can walk all over downtown and the Hip Strip. Close to the Missoula Art Museum, shopping, dining and the University. Right next to the Clark Fork River and Brenna's Wave, the Carousel and trails!

Our stay at the Wilma was a lot of fun. The room was just like we expected based on the photos and description. The location couldn't be better! The owner was very responsive and her communication was excellent!

A+ for Liz and her lovely Missoula apartment

  • 5 of 5

Liz was very quick to respond to our request to book, she gave detailed information about the apartment and worked with our needs. She was professional in her communication. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, with a comfortable queen bed. We didn't cook in the kitchen but I imagine it would be good for someone who wants to spend time cooking there -- lots of counter space and central location for hanging out. Nice light and big windows. Clean and comfortable -- even nicer than the photos in the listing. Thank you Liz for a satisfying and comfortable stay in the best location for a trip to downtown Missoula.

Great spot in Missoula

  • 5 of 5

We spent 6 days at the Wilma for a visit with our AmeriCorps grandson. This apartment was a wonderful place for us to not only to spend time with him but to explore Missoula. It is clean, private, quiet and well located. Our host was extremely accommodating. We highly recommend Liz's place.

Missoula made easy

  • 4 of 5

The location of this VRBO is excellent. From the farmer's market, bandstand, numerous restaurants and shops, to the easy driveability of Missoula, we had a wonderful stay. The rental itself was super easy in terms of dealing with the owner (who was super responsive and left us good instructions) and everything was there including bath and kitchen amenities other VRBOs do not always have.

Very pleased!

  • 5 of 5

What an adorable space?! From the moment I entered I knew this apartment was exactly what I had been looking for and the pictures of this property I saw on line portrayed it perfectly! It was very conveniently located to everywhere I wanted to go during my stay. I particularly enjoyed waking up to sounds of someone outside playing a piano one morning - what a treat! I would definitely consider staying again the next time I am in Missoula!

Missoula is a city in the U.S. state of Montana and is the county seat of Missoula County. It is located along the Clark Fork and Bitterroot rivers in Western Montana and at the convergence of five mountain ranges, thus is often described as being the 'Hub of Five Valleys'. The 2010 Census put the population of Missoula at 66,788 and the Missoula Metropolitan Area at 109,299. As of July 1, 2011 the city grew to 67,290,[3] and put the Missoula metropolitan area at 110,138.[4] Since 2000, Missoula has been the second largest city in Montana.[5]

Missoula was founded in 1860 and named Hellgate Trading Post while still part of Washington Territory. By 1866, the settlement had moved five miles upstream and renamed Missoula Mills before being shortened to Missoula.[6] The mills provided supplies to western settlers traveling along the Mullan Road with Fort Missoula, set up in 1877 to protect the settlers, further stabilizing the economy. The arrival of the Northern Pacific Railway in 1883 was coupled with rapid growth and the maturation of the local lumber industry. An element of prestige could be claimed ten years later when what was already called the City of Missoula was chosen by the Montana Legislature as the site for the new state’s first university. Along with the U.S. Forest Service headquarters founded in 1908, lumber and the university would remain staples of the local economy for the next hundred years.[7]

By the 1990s, Missoula’s lumber industry had gradually disappeared, and today the city’s largest employers are the University of Montana and Missoula’s two hospitals. The city is governed by a mayor-council government with twelve city council members, two from each of the six wards. In and around Missoula are 400 acres (160 ha) of parkland, 22 miles (35 km) of trails, and nearly 5,000 acres (2,000 ha) of open-space conservation land with adjacent Mount Jumbo home to grazing elk and mule deer during the winter months.[8] The city is also home to both Montana’s largest and its oldest active breweries as well as the Montana Grizzlies, one of the strongest college football programs in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Notable residents include the first woman in Congress, Jeannette Rankin and the United States’ longest-serving Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfield.
