A fountain in the front courtyard greets you with the sound of splashing water while double atrium doors open to a tiled courtyard in the back, doubling the home's space for dining, relaxing, or even entertaining. Soak up the vivid New Mexico sky from the rooftop deck off the master loft.

But the outside is only the beginning. The inside immerses you in Santa Fe style with Saltillo tile floors, beamed ceilings, and a kiva fireplace. Hand-painted furniture, Indian rugs, and original art offer comfort and charm while quality linens and towels wait to indulge you. Don't just visit Santa Fe, breathe it in while staying in this welcoming home-away-from-home.

***The Railyard District! AKA Guadalupe Street Dis: Our condo is a short walk to the Plaza area, but an even shorter walk to the Railyard District. This new hip and happening area runs along Guadalupe St from the intersection of Aqua Fria to the southern part of Paseo de Peralta. (Just look for the last section of railroad tracks on any map.) There you'll find loads of great restaurants and fabulous shops. On the weekends, stroll over to the Farmer's Market and listen to live music while buying locally grown produce, goat cheese, freshly baked breads, herb-infused body lotions, and anything under the sun that can be made out of chilies. Then walk back to your new home-away-from-home and fix a yummy brunch to be enjoyed alfresco in the back courtyard.

Great condo - did not want to leave!

We loved Casa Casados. Perfect size for a family of four (with two teens) - plenty of room. The three different patios made it possible to enjoy views of the mountains, morning coffee at sunrise, or afternoon wine as sunset. The location is hard to beat as well, being within walking distance to the Plaza. We will definitely make a return visit.

If you haven't been to Santa Fe since 2007, you may be surprised at how it has changed. In a good way! The downtown area is still as charming as ever with its restaurants, galleries, and shops, but it's no longer the only area to offer these things. The area around the historic train station, known as the Railyard District has great restaurants and shops for furniture, architectural items, and vintage goods. There are more than 40 restaurants and bars within easy walking distance to the casita, and countless shops.
