THERE IS REALLY ONLY ONE TRULY PRIVATE SPOT ON THE EAST COAST WHERE YOU SHOULD GET AWAY FROM IT ALL AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR.
IT'S IN THE HAMPTONS, IN AMAGANSETT, IN THE BELL ESTATE, IN A MAGNIFICENT HOUSE THAT'S 140 FEET HIGH AND 700 FEET FROM THE CUL-DE-SAC, IN A FIVE LEVEL, 3,500 SQUARE FEET ENVIRONMENT OF ABSOLUTE TRANQUILITY, PRIVACY, AND INTIMACY, SITUATED ON 4.5 ACRES OF PLUSH FOREST WOODLANDS.
Somewhere in between Alec, Gwyneth, Bobby, Nathan, Jerry, SJP, Kelly and Sir Paul is a magnificent 5 level designer white contemporary house that sits atop the second highest point on Eastern Long Island and boasts one of the longest driveways in the Town of East Hampton. This sun-drenched get-a-way provides the ultimate privacy on 4.5 wooded acres in a prestigious estate in Amagansett.
This is a luxury residence that is ideal for those who consider their privacy to be a treasured possession. It sits amidst the beauty and quiet of a diversified lush forest of tall, plush trees and plants that is the hallmark feature of the 500 acre parcel known as the Bell Estate. The green environment is incorporated into the house through the large expanse of fixed glass and skylights that account for 28% of the structure. Inasmuch as there are no window treatments the surrounding dense woods become an integral element in a constant awareness of the environment.
The house is situated on one of the highest land points on Eastern Long Island (140 feet) and is reached by one of the longest driveways in East Hampton (700 feet). The driveway begins at the end of a cul-de-sac and winds its way on a paved road that traverses the dense forest where American Indians once lived hundreds of years ago. This short drive brings you to a place where there is a break from the hectic city life in a relaxed, quiet environment. This convenient location can transport you into the swinging, vibrant, exciting lifestyle that is unique to the Hamptons in only a matter of minutes. The property enjoys its unique reputation as a haven of privacy although the neighborhood boasts residences of celebrities, accomplished individuals, and entertainment icons. In fact, a celebrity chef has recently built his 5,000 sq. ft. house next to this residence.
The privacy of the property is enhanced by the 5 acre zoning of the Bell Estate and the proximity of the residence to 11 acres of undeveloped land that has been donated to the Nature Conservancy, thereby insuring a tranquil setting in perpetuity.
Ideal setting for special holidays, celebrations, and events - birthdays, anniversaries, college and high school reunions and corporate retreats. Magnificent, multi-level designer sun drenched house atop highest point on 4.5 wooded estate acres in East Hampton/Amagansett, 1 mile from both ocean and bay beaches, 2 miles to East Hampton's renowned arts, chic shopping, gourmet restaurants and hot night spots,15 minutes to historic Montauk deep sea fishing. I booked the house over Labor Day weekend and my group had a very nice stay. The house was as described and pictured in the listing. Richard was very accommodating throughout the process. The house is very secluded and very peaceful. The pool was great. I would book this house again.
