Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a fantastic stay in your house in Dublin. We have rented a lot of properties in our time and this was without a doubt the best one yet - spacious, stylish, comfortable and so full of little touches and treats like the scones, weather report, chocs and bath products - We felt really spoiled! Thanks also for booking the restaurant and taxis - this made things so easy and relaxing for us

I'd recommend your house to anyone thinking of staying in Dublin - thanks for making it a really special treat to celebrate my birthday!

Great little house, good location, great customer service.

  • 5 of 5

The house is so warm and welcoming. We were two families and fitted comfortably. We used the lounge room as a bedroom, which worked well. The kitchen was our base, great place to sit and chat. Beds were comfortable. The fold out couches do need the mattress on top.

Location was an easy walk into the city, lots of great places around too.

We had a baby and I wouldn't say it's the most baby friendly property, the placement of the stair gates meant we had to be constantly on alert. We made it work though, and I would do it again.

We had a problem with the wifi in one of the rooms, but as soon as we alerted them it was fixed, very happy with the response. The attention to detail from the hosts was exceptional. Little things like offering a supermarket order to arrive the day we did really made a huge difference.

If I returned to Dublin I would to stay here again. Overall a great experience.

Our Dublin home away from home - highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family with 2 teenagers who have traveled abroad before, but have always stayed in hotels. Our week at this Broadstone property is a big part of the reason why we enjoyed our week in Dublin! It is centrally located, spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was so nice to have a relaxing space big enough for us all to stretch out after long days of walking.

The house is located about 20 minute walk from the city Centre. We typically walked directly down O'Connell Street and always felt very safe. The DART Connelly station is walking distance and enables you take a day trip down the southeast coast towards Wicklow. We also did a bus tour to the Cliffs of Moher, which picked up travelers in front of the Gresham Hotel, a 15 minute walk away. Blessington Basin in the green space nearby is a quaint but beautiful park. There is much to see in Dublin and this property provides a central location to access it all.

We found everything we needed closeby - Tesco to stock up for the week and a Spar around the corner (open late) for any additional grocery items needed. Delisuz is about 2 blocks away on Blessington and offered freshly made gourmet sandwiches to go - great for our day trips outside Dublin. McGowan's on Phibsborough was a 3 minute walk and we had a very good meal there our first night. We had many other great meals in central Dublin (Woolen Mills near the Ha'penny Bridge was a highlight) and a fabulous dinner our final night at the Hungry Monk in Greystones.

Simon was very accommodating - answering my many questions before we arrived, arranging airport transportation, storing our baggage after our very early arrival, and responding to questions while were there promptly and professionally. It has set the bar high for any future homestays. I would not hesitate to book this property again if we return to Dublin.

Amazing, and cozy house

  • 5 of 5

We had the most amazing time staying at this wonderful home. Our family of 5 was in Dublin visiting our college daughter who is studying abroad. We arrived and were met by the owner who had just finished decorating the unit for Christmas. It was darling, cozy, charming, clean and stocked with all of the amenities mentioned, plus more. Fresh scones and butter were delivered our first morning there and each of the bedrooms had special goodies in place. The unit felt like home and was the perfect home base for our week in Dublin. We were within walking distance of everything that we needed and although we had a car, it was not necessary. Simon provided parking passes and many ideas of fun things to do, restaurants and bars to explore. The furnishings in the house were eclectic and fun, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Wifi initially was not working, and as soon as we called, they were over the rectify the problem. I could not recommend this rental more highly. Great value compared to local hotels, and the space was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much to Simon and his team for a fabulous Irish vacation.

Great thanksgiving visit

  • 5 of 5

We came as a family from the US to visit our daughter who was in Dublin for a semester abroad. We were a group of 5 and she stayed with us some nights as well. The place was beautiful, clean and highly functional. Great bedrooms, wonderful large kitchen. We were able to prepare full meals there without any problems. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our teenagers appreciated the Nexflix and WiFi. The house was nicely decorated for Christmas when we arrived. Simon was attentive to all our needs, even storing our luggage at his place because we arrived too early to check in. When the home was ready he was there waiting for us with our luggage.

It was easy to get to the city. We walked without a problem but we were also able to figure out the bus system with several stops very close to the home. I would recommend this home to any families looking for a cosy stay in Dublin.
