Idyll in the hills
This house is perfect in every way. Beautiful light streams throughout, the gardens are fragrant and verdant, the beds and pillows ideal, and the kitchen has everything one could need. We were very reluctant to return to our everyday life. We hiked daily in Fryman and Franklin canyons -- a short ten minute drive to the parking lot off Laurel Canyon.
Great stay!
We had a LOVELY stay!!! This beauty is in an excellent location for museums, all the iconic tourist spots, great restaurants, and this gem is exactly as pictured except the mirror in the dining area did make the place look bigger than it actually was-- both in photographs and in real life!!! (Which is the point of decorative mirrors, after all!) We visited during the winter season when I wish the fire place was usable (a legal gas-burning fireplace) but it was very comfortable, clean, private, quiet, and had everything one could need-- a true home-sweet-home! The best part: those amazing floor-to-ceiling windows and the lush back lanai/patio!!! Who knew you can still see shooting stars in the middle of Los Angeles??? We'll be back!
The dream of the perfect hills stay realized
This property and home and all its wonderful artistic contents made for a dream stay for us. We fell in love with our morning coffee on the large patio. The outdoor shower amongst the greenery and fruit trees was divine. The home architecture is exciting and makes for a lovely oasis from the city. We hiked Runyon Canyon, Franklin Canyon, Trebek Open Space, and Griffith Park - all close by. A one minute walk up our dead end street is a wonderful overlook of the HOLLYWOOD sign. Uber / Lyft pick-up friendly!
Dreamy get away
We stayed at this property for 6 nights. This is a modest but immaculate home, with an amazing attention to detail. The furniture, the works of art, the white walls, the windows, the outdoor shower, citrus trees, birds, quiet, California sun! The master had a very comfortable bed and a lovely view. The 2nd bedroom is gorgeous and the single beds fine as long as you are on the slight side (which our friend was!). We only used it for preparing breakfast and snacks but the kitchen was better stocked than any rental we've been too and very nicely designed. The deck was, of course, stunning, and the outdoor shower an amazing feature (on the lower level, so lots of privacy!). It was a great place to get back to at the end of the day but also a nice place to get work done in the peace and quiet (one of us being an academic who had a paper due!).

Just minutes from The Hollywood Bowl, Sunset Strip, Universal Studios, Mulholland Drive, West Hollywood, Griffith Park and the Observatory, Los Feliz and Silverlake. Amazing movie theaters, hiking in beautiful Runyon Canyon, easy access to the 101 freeway.
