This stylish and rustic 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath mountain home is situated on the sunny side of the Sundance mountain. You’ll feel as if you've found your own personal alpine hideaway in the treetops. Located just above the base of Robert Redford's award winning Sundance 4 season ski resort, this artistic and comfortable mountain home is situated on a naturally wooded lot for fun snowy play days or romantic summer evenings under the stars.

Sweeping alpine views from every room invite the natural beauty of these mountains inside to serve as living art. Warm cedar ceilings and rustic hardwood and stone floors are in harmony with the beautiful outdoors and provide a warm, rustic atmosphere. Furnished with a blend of mountain contemporary, vintage western, original artwork, native and hand crafted pieces and textiles, this home will surround you with an understated and refined elegance that you will love. Enjoy luxury touches such as king sized shearling throws, or the homeowner's collection of original western art and tribal crafts. Wild turkeys stroll the property, and of course the deer and a vast variety of furry and feathered friends can be seen daily.

Original artwork by respected Western artists: Michael Malm, Jason RIch, David Linn, Art H Starr, Marina Zavalova, David Linn plus others.

As a four season resort, Sundance has a wide variety of wonderful activities available to the public year round. Besides all the traditional activities such as skiing, mountain biking trails, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, etc., take a beautiful chair lift ride during the warmer seasons (including evening rides under the full moon), watch a movie outdoors, attend an art workshop, take a guided bird watching hike, or pamper yourself at the Sundance spa. You will have the time of your life at this beautiful resort!

Directions to the cabin from Salt Lake City Airport:

Fastest Route - through Salt Lake valley and Orem/Provo (about 60 minutes from SLC airport)

Take I-15 South from SLC. airport. Drive Approx 40 miles. Take the Orem, 8th North exit and drive East toward the mountains. After Approx. 4 miles you will arrive at the Provo Canyon entrance. Drive Approx. 8 miles and proceed through a tunnel in the mountainside. Make the first left turn (about 1/4 mile after exiting the tunnel) and drive Approx. 2 miles up this side canyon and turn left onto Stewart Road (just after you've passed Sundance Resort.) Take a quick right onto Timphaven Road. Drive Approx. 1/2 mile. Turn left on Meadows Drive and then make your first right onto Elk Drive. The cabin is the 13th home on the right while driving up Elk Dr. The street address #, is posted out front. Just park to the right side of the cabin, near the exterior private entry stairs leading up to this wonderfully charming hideaway in the treetops!

Scenic Route - through Park City area (about 70 minutes from SLC airport)

Take I-80 East toward Cheyenne, Wyoming. Drive approximately 20 miles through Parleys’ Canyon and up into the Park City area. Take I-40 East toward Heber. (Note: Take highway #224 instead of I-40 East if you plan to stop in Park City along your way.) Stay on I-40 East for approximately 20 miles and drive through downtown Heber. When you get to the far end of town, turn right (at a large intersection) onto highway #189 toward Provo and drive about 12 miles. Stay in the right lane when 189 widens into additional lanes and turn right into the first side canyon (usually there's a 'Sundance' sign marking the canyon.) This side canyon is just before 189 turns into a tunnel cutting through the mountainside. *from this point, refer to the 1st set of driving directions to get to the cabin.

*Call if you'd like driving directions through Scenic American Fork Canyon and the Alpine loop to Sundance.

Rustic Cabin w/GREAT snow play all around the property!

  • 5 of 5

We had 13 sleep perfectly in this cabin. All the kiddos slept in TV/apt room just fine! We did need cars to get to ski resort!

It was a quick 4 minute drive to ski. The kitchen was awesome to cook in. But I must say, Christine, the manager was

stellar. She answered our calls and really took care of us. We stocked our home with tons of food and drink for the entire stay and didn't ever need to leave except on ski days. Our kids are 8- 15 which this house is suitable for. The stairs up to the bedrooms are steep, so glad we didn't have toddlers! We are big skiers, so my advice is, if you like to ski Utah, don't pick Sundance during holiday, they are a small charming mountain, not equipped for crowds. That's what makes it so special. It is stunning, the prettiest mountain in Utah for sure! Yes, we will come back!

Large rustic home in Sundance

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for my daughter's fall wedding at Sundance. It is a very large home with 4 separate bedrooms and several pullout couches: perfect for 2 families, several couples and singles. The décor is western rustic with lots of authentic western pieces. The beds are all very comfortable; large kitchen table. There is a lot of room in this home; I cannot wait to return in the winter. Thanks so much, Traci.

Wedding familly

  • 5 of 5

We had rented this house to attend our son's wedding. The manager's Tracey and Shelley were most accomodating. We needed a crib and high chair and they were there when we arrived, along with toys! Everything we could possibly need was there for us.

The home was clean and quite comfortable. Slept in the treetop room. So relaxing! Saw moose and all those wild turkeys running around. Grandchildren had a great time, too. Will definitely recommend it and hopefully, return.
