Home recently remodeled and rebuilt . Approx 3,500 Sq Ft 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms. This home represents mountain luxury with attention to detail at its finest. Two gas fireplaces (Great Room and Master Bedroom) and one wood burning fireplace (Game Room). Three bedrooms have LED TVs with multiple Direct TV channels and en-suite modern and spacious bathrooms. Large decks equipped with speakers and multi zone music channels and garden area suitable for family gatherings. Surrounded by pine trees in quite neighborhood with easy winter access.

Great room with 55' 3D LED Samsung, surround sound, high quality stereo system with speakers and 42' gas fireplace.

Game room has pool table, 44 inch wood burning fireplace, 3D 60 inch HDTV with Bose surround sound system, PlayStation 3 for gaming, Blue Ray player and deck with a 5 person Jacuzzi.

Large decks with BBQ, deck heater, and seating for 8 people.

Gourmet kitchen has high end appliances and seating for 10 at dining table and 5 at the bar.

Master Suite has fireplace, private bath with heated floors, rain head shower, and steam shower.

Master Suite has a king bed. Four downstairs guest rooms have a king, king, 2 twins and bunk bed (full+twin bed). Game room has fold out queen bed couch. Home sleeps 10 persons in bedrooms, with a possibility of two more on pull out sofa in Game Room.

Egyptian cotton 400 thread count bed sheets, top quality comforters and towels.

The fine craftsmanship, attention to detail and appealing design will make you want to stay longer at home.

Our Home is located in a quite neighborhood of mostly 2nd homeowners and some primary residences yet close to downtown Tahoe City. Home is surrounded by pine trees and mountains. Cross Country skiing, mountain biking, and hiking (depending on season) is out our front door. It is 15 minutes to the 3 best downhill ski areas in Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar.

In summer the same area has some of the best mountain biking and hiking in the Lake Tahoe area. The beach is a 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute car ride. In about a 3 minutes drive you are in bustling (joke) downtown Tahoe City. Tahoe City has all the restaurants and stores you could want.

If you go north from the house you can be at Stateline (Carnelian bay) in 20 minutes where there are a few small casinos with live shows most nights and of course gambling.

Its really ski area central in the winter. If you like cross country, you can literally go out the front door and ski over to a groomed cross country ski area called Tahoe Cross Country Ski area. We have sleds you can use as well. In the summer you have access to the lake, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, and hiking.

Tahoe NYE Getaway

I enjoyed the place, it was very cozy and comfortable. We arrived during a snow storm so we weren't able to check out the outside too much. Overall the place was very nice. The one minor thing I would add is a picture or a comment that there are some steep step going downstairs (I don't think I saw that in the description). The only reason I mention it is because we enjoyed the space with friends and our small kids - most just a year old. However, he did have a baby gate at the top of the steps which was super useful. Also the host is really wonderful with communicating with you. He makes you feel like you can reach out to him anytime and got back to me very quickly on all asks/comments/questions.

50th birthday getaway

Having relocated 20 years ago from the Sacramento area to Maui, we wanted to return to Tahoe to celebrate a 50th birthday with our closest friends. We had 7 adults stay at this property for a week over the Thanksgiving holiday and could not have enjoyed it more. The home is terrific. The location was exactly what we wanted. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The home amenities met all of our needs. We are foodies and the kitchen was well appointed and the pots/pans were brand new. We would rent the same property again and highly recommend this listing.

Wonderful setting for a family vacation. Nice spacious home, good location near many activities. Once the smoke cleared we had great time outdoors. Kitchen is well equipped for our family to make meals. Host Mario was very responsive and had allowed us to rebook our vacation from last year when fires caused us to cancel. Our family would go back again anytime.

Excellent for Family Gathering

This cabin is perfect for families - large, comfortable and really nice to have so many bathrooms when traveling with a larger group. Game room provides a great place for kids to gather while adults enjoy upstairs or are out on the patio. Kitchen is well equipped and plenty of beach towels available. Skylandia beach is nearby and nice - but bring shade. Only downside to this location is the neighbor behind the house - has a half pipe skate ramp and trampoline in their back yard, constant barking dogs and late night (1am) parties. There is a lot of space between homes so not a huge issue but woke some of our party throughout our stay. We also left a car unlocked and found someone had gone through it in the middle of the night - so I would recommend keeping doors locked. Mario is an excellent host and his communication was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and made a lot of great family memories at Mario’s cabin.
