Location! This complex has the best of both worlds - it is great for the owners and their family to visit because it is close to family members and close to all the activities they enjoy (including winter sports)....but also great as a vacation rental for others.....the unit is fully licensed as a tourist home (required by Cottonwood Heights).

We have lived in Utah all our lives. We love the outdoors and love the SNOW! I have been involved in the vacation rental business for 20+ years....at one time managing over 90 vacation rentals. Now having my own and managing two for friends I can provide the attention to detail I was unable to provide when handling so many. Because of my affiliation in the outdoor sports industry I provide many special extras in our properties to make them more comfortable and of course, MORE FUN!!! I personally go to each unit before and after each stay to make sure everything is just right! What makes this townhome unique

The location is ideal - right at the mouth of the Canyons so we can ski in 20 minutes, yet still in Salt Lake county with quick access to the freeway to go downtown or to Park City. Grocery stores and restaurants are close by as well.

Terrible moth ball smell!

The beds were great. The kitchen was fine. Clean and well stocked. Fireplace was great. Carpets were dirty. Hot tub area was full of dirt and junky. Not what we expected. The mothball smell was the worst part. Sorry Jennifer We were surprised because your reviews were much better.

Owner's Response: Wow.....we are really sorry about this! Our first negative review :(. Let me explain... One of the great things about the condo is that is backs up against an open mountainside....with this also comes animals of all shapes and sizes....some of them not desirable. The neighboring (not ours as it is new and sealed) hot tub has been penetrated with some rodents. Moth balls have been known to deter rodents so they were placed on the outside of the patio walls to keep them from digging and living around the patio. Some of the moth ball smell came into the condo when the patio doors were open. Special bait traps were placed outside the area and there is no longer a problem. The patio became very dirty because of the dirt and people getting into the hot tub tracked dirt into the tub....making the tub dirty instantly. It was in great condition when you arrived as it had just been serviced...I guess that is why your family used it so much! The hot tub is a 2 year old $10,000 Bullfrog spa. It filters very well but when there are several people in and out and can be overwhelmed in one evening. The traffic area near the kitchen in the condo was dirty....we agree. We had plans to have it cleaned but didn't want you to have wet carpeting as there was no time in between guests. The entire condo was cleaned after your stay! Sorry! The slurry seal on the asphalt in the community failed over the winter which caused guests to track it in to the condo even though there are several commercial rugs to wipe feet before walking on the carpeting in the front room and kitchen. Again, we are very sorry for your disappointment. We are glad you liked the great beds and well equipped kitchen. Take care.

A Wonderful Place to Stay

Our family of 4 spent had a fabulous vacation in Utah and were very pleased with our accommodations. Having stayed at various independently owned rental units in years past, this one was the most well-equipped (anything you needed, it was there) and very comfortable. I will state that the best part about the unit was the attention from the owner who provided detailed information and instructions about the unit and surroundings. She was quick to respond to any questions and so kind and helpful. We didn’t have any major issues for which to contact her but there was a minor glitch with the on-line booking system which was taken care of immediately. We look forward to our next stay!

Lovely condo, great location!

This was our second stay at this condo in Cottonwood Heights. We stayed for five nights in January 2014 and again for five nights in January 2016. The condo is beautifully appointed and comfortable. The full range of amenities provided, including scented hand cream, toiletries, a boot dryer, and slippers for getting to the hot tub, was much appreciated. Excellent attention to all the details -- we especially liked the clear instructions, including useful notes on the light switches. The location is terrific -- close to convenience and grocery stores, and also to the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon Roads and other main highways, making it easy to get to a large number of ski resorts. We hope to be back again!

Great Visit!

The property is clean, well equipped and maintained---just as presented. It is larger than the picture on the web site led me to expect. The new hot tub is large enough for 4+ comfortably and great after a day on the slopes. Everything is well organized and easy to find. We were three adult men and the unit met our needs perfectly. We have stayed in this area many times as it is an easy drive to many ski areas.

A Lovely Unit

We stayed at this condo while we were visiting our son and daughter-in-law, and meeting our new grandbaby for the first time! The unit is lovely -- clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The kitchen is great -- we even had the family over for Sunday dinner! Didn't use the hot tub, although it certainly looked inviting. Renters should be aware that there's a good restaurant nearby -- The Porcupine is just two doors west of the 7-11. Good food, nice people, good service. We arrived in the evening, didn't know the area, and settled from sandwiches from 7-11 for a late dinner. Do not do this. The Porcupine is merely yards away. There were a lot of stairs; although the multiple levels make this unit inappropriate for the disabled, we would be happy to stay in this condo again.

Like Being Home

We have stayed in this rental in the past, as well as another rental of this owner in the same complex. All of our experiences have been perfect. This last time we were in Salt Lake City for my mother's funeral. Since this was a sad time for us, we looked for a place to stay that was accessible to everything we needed to do. And, we were looking for comfort. This rental made everything easy for us - we needed to be in Draper and we needed to be in downtown, Salt Lake City and we needed quick access to the airport. The rental's location made it all doable with minimum driving time. The rental is clean, organized, and quiet. We found a great deal of comfort in being able to stay here. Jennifer makes everything easy because she is well organized, has everything labeled, has little signs with instructions for everything, and has provided all kinds of little comforting amenities. We did not do a lot of cooking because of the circumstances, but we found a walk to the Porcupine Grill was just what we needed. The food there is fabulous. We all highly recommend this rental and would stay here again.
