This Cabin is well equipped , decorated, and has plenty or room. Pictures do not give it justice. The cabin served us quite well for the 8 days we were there. The five of us on our father/son/uncle fishing trip were each able to have our own room. Loved the cool nights with open windows...sure beat the heat and humidity on the east coast. The location of the cabin was perfect for fishing the stretch of the Madison above Quake lake downstream to Ennis. The kitchen was well equipped, and the views off the rear/side deck were spectacular. The star gazing at night is something to behold. Anyone living in a light polluted area will be amazed at the summer Milky Way stretching across the sky while lounging on the rear deck. Thanks again to our lovely hosts, Pam & Steve.
While the river access wasn't as easy, due to the distance from the water and the typical bowling ball size rocks you'll ll this stretch of the Madison that's nicknamed the "50-mile riffle," the views and the house itself are beautiful. Great place to watch the thunderstorms roll in across the valley, and Steve the host is very helpful. Cleanliness is first-rate. For best wading fishing, try "The Narrows" near Ennis. Or, hire a float trip--Bill, VRBO owner #385771
This warm, inviting mountain home boasts beautiful log furniture to complete the Montana feel.--Denise
Just got home from a 4 day stay at the Elk View Lodge. This is a great home and in a beautiful location. The house has everything you need and is very clean. Steve is a wonderful host and is there to answer questions and to help make your trip the best ever. Even though the drive to Yellowstone takes a little time, it is so much better than staying in West Yellowstone and fighting the crowds. We even saw Big Horn Sheep on the way to the park! If you are in the area to fish, you couldn't find a better location and property.
This was an absolute slice of heaven! The house was amazing, the views to die for! The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was truly perfect. The hosts were amazing and took great care of us while we were there. I would go back in a heartbeat. All the amenities were available and it was an easy drive to entertainment and dining. Miss it already! Don't hesitate to book a week at Elk View Lodge!

My husband and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary in this beautiful home with our 5 year-old golden retriever! The views of the mountains from the house are absolutely amazing! We enjoyed fly fishing on the Madison River and driving down to Yellowstone for a day. Steve was a wonderful host and it was a great trip despite the weather not being ideal! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
We spent a wonderful week at Elk View Lodge. The views from every window were spectacular. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and well situated for those who want to fish, visit Yellowstone National Park, Virginia City and Wade Lake. Our friends from Maine joined us and we enjoyed all of the above, plus cooking, relaxing in the hot tub and reading on the screened-in porch. Our one complaint was that we only stayed a week! Steve offered us every accommodation and more than answered our questions. We hope to come back soon.
Great hunting and wildlife viewing opportunities being located on the elk migration route to the Wall Creek Wildlife Management Area which is located directly across the Madison River
