Why The Owner chose Three Rivers

We have enjoyed this property as a 'family compound' since we purchased it in 2000. We love this area and this property is simply a slice of heaven.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy each of the unique seasons the area has to offer. We enjoy swimming and floating on the river during the summer...there is no better place to be found. Regardless of the season, the year-round flow of the river is absolutely beautiful and relaxing.

Amenities in a secluded, idyllic river setting...and so close to the Sequoias!

  • 4 of 5

Our family loved this inviting home. It offers an expansive porch with spectacular view of the river and mountains. It is well-stocked with everything you'll need to relax and enjoy the property or as a homebase for exploring. We'll be back!

Perfect cabin to get away for a weekend, or longer :)

  • 5 of 5

This was my second consecutive year booking the riverside ranch. Stayed with friends for 2 nights and we all had a blast! - Steve is very kind and helpful. The home is charming and the river is beautiful, exactly what we need for a weekend away from the city. My favorite thing to do is wake up early and enjoy coffee on the porch facing the river, great way to wake up. The porch is a great place for morning yoga or stretching as well, as my friends and I discovered. Great location, just a short drive to the Sequoia Park entrance, my friends and I spent one day in the park and the second day relaxing at the cabin. We cooked a full dinner in the kitchen (bought all necessary ingredients at the local mart) and watched a dvd on the tv, all worked great. Plus there WiFi, which we all appreciated:) Be sure to stop at The Gateway lodge cafe for a meal, we enjoyed restaurant a lot, good food, great service and 2 minutes from the park entrance. Also, Three Rivers is charming and worth walking around the shops.

Highly recommend!! Look forward to going back in the future:) Thanks again steve.

I enjoyed the whole setting, it was very relaxing. We made two trips into Visalia, it was not far to drive to enjoy shopping and have dinner out.

Outdoor Beauty Makes Up for Indoor Issues

  • 5 of 5

The views, the colors, the untouched beauty of the space outside was simply stunning. There were little issues with the property like a flickering light, the carpet has lots of spots, it's hard to unlock door and similar minor issues but these problems pale in comparison to the sheer beauty of the property. Unforgettable.

Note there is a little house next door which kind of spooked us as we arrived at night. When we were there we noticed a side door to the little house was propped open so anything or anyone could get in there. The owner said it's used for storage but he never responded to our concerns that the door was open. Kind of creepy but we felt safe in our large group and the property was just amazingly beautiful outside. We drove one day to Sequoia Natl Park and it was gorgeous. About an hour to get to the General Sherman tree. We also visited Lake Kalewah. Super pretty. And just spent time exploring the river and enjoying the property and the town. Thanks so much!!

Peaceful beautiful secluded on the water getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is a secluded property on the water of a good flowing creek where you can watch birds, frogs, and fish going by wipe reading a book after a day of hiking.

The owner was very communicative, and staying there was stress free.

The house had a early 70s feel to it (likely built around then), so felt dated, but in a good way.

Only complaint is the hot water runs out FAST, so do quick showers.

Anyways, great base of operations for exploring the national parks.
