Great Stay in Paradise Valley

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. We used it as a base to explore Yellowstone and surrounding area. It's about 20+ minutes of driving through a beautiful valley to the north entrance arch to Yellowstone. We actually enjoyed that trip every day. We had stayed in the park at an old cabin in the Grand Tetons just before arriving at this cabin. While I'm glad we had that experience, I think we all agreed that we much preferred being outside the park and in a very comfortable home in a beautiful, quiet area all to ourselves compared to the rustic in-park experience.

The home itself is right on the Yellowstone with a beautiful view of the mountains and the river. The nearest neighbors are a good distance away, so we had complete privacy. We had a chance to watch wildlife right from the porch. While we did not fish, we saw a couple groups per day fish through that stretch of the river. We had thought we might wade into the river to cool off, but there really wasn't a good place to do that. We made up for it by going whitewater rafting and had a blast.

Inside the house had everything we were looking for: full kitchen, laundry, master suite with beautiful views of the river and mountains, comfortable beds, soaking tub, etc. Everything we used worked well. We did not use the TV's so we cannot comment on the reception. Instead we used the games from the game room.

Our group had only three, so we had more than enough room. The master suite has a king and bath w/whirlpool. The other main floor bedroom has a queen with a bathroom immediately across the hall. Then there are three twins in the loft. We didn't need the room for sleeping, but found it perfect for a post-park yoga studio.

It's a great cabin and we highly recommend it.

This was our second stay at this property. The owners have made some minor improvements which have enhanced the overall experience. We expect to visit this property again in the future.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We needed a respite after the previous week of national park hopping and staying in park accommodations and this house was perfect! Our family of 6 had room to spread out and relax (read, nap, watch TV) or come together for games or movies - all of which were thoughtfully provided by Dan and Dianne! Loves cozying up with the awesome blankets at night! The laundry room allowed us to reboot our wardrobe for the next week. We enjoyed the easy and scenic 30 minute drive back to Gardiner/North Yellowstone for rafting/ziplining/eating/shopping. With the house as base camp, we enjoyed animal watching (elk herd, sand storks, deer), fishing in the river (kind of...way too high), grilling and just sitting on the porch taking in the amazing scenery! Can't say enough good things about this home, but Thank You Dan and Dianne for sharing your home! We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful scenery and perfect vacation home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six was completely satisfied with our stay at Paradise Valley. The name lives up to it's reputation. The surrounding scenery is spectacular! We enjoyed evenings on the porch watching the elk herd, mule deer, a pair of eagles nested in a tree, and the flock of pelicans on the sand bar. The house itself was very clean, comfortable, and provided for all our needs. Dan and Diane were easy to communicate with and very helpful. We would highly recommend this rental home.

Perfect family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I start? When I started to plan our family vacation in Yellowstone, I did quite a research to explore all the options. I am a well traveled person and book travel on regular basis. When I came across this beautiful log house, I knew this is the one. We absolutely fell in love with this place on the Yellowstone River! The house has beautiful views from every window and offeres everything that a family with 3 children might need, including toys for our baby boy. We have enjoyed watching pelicans and moose from the deck. All the bedrooms are very nice and have comfortable beds. The master bedroom with California King bed and jacuzzi bath tub, with two large windows to enjoy the view while relaxing, is a dream of every full time working mom. Thank you! The log house is located only 20 min ride from the North Entrance of Yellowstone. Don't miss the Lighthouse restaurant (15 min direction to Gardiner). The elk medallions and NY steak are amazing! You won't regret booking this place and like us will have a hard time to leave. Diane and Dan, thank you for sharing your amazing place with us and for being great hosts!!! We will be back!

Great place as base for Yellowstone visit

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent seven wonderful nights here in Paradise Valley. The house was perfect for the six of us (all adults) as a base for our visit to Yellowstone. The log home is very cozy and well equipped. The location is gorgeous, sitting on the bank of the Yellowstone and surrounded by mountain views. We did not mind the 20-25 min drive to the park at all. Gardiner was where we enjoyed several evening meals. We also grilled steaks at the house and enjoyed dinner by the river. Don't miss out on a dip in the hot springs pool at Chico Springs only about 10 minutes away. Also there are several beautiful hikes outside the park in the National Forest. Simply put--we loved it!
