Cabin In The Woods: Lovely log home (1700 in quiet log cabin development in the East Kootenays, 2.5 kms from Marysville (on St. Mary’s Lake Road) at 128 River Bend Lane, Kimberley, B.C.

Three levels of living; 2 bedrooms plus a loft. 3 full bathrooms. Recommended for 4 to 6 adults. This log cabin is fully furnished and accessorized and comes with all the comforts of home. All you need to bring is your suitcase. A wood burning fireplace and environmentally friendly geothermal heating/cooling make it a very cozy cabin, winter and summer. The wellness room on the main floor includes a infrared personal sauna, professional massage chair and Jacuzzi tub for two. High speed internet and phone are included.

There are six golf courses (from beginner to expert) in the immediate vicinity of this cabin: Trickle Creek, Boot Leg Gap, Kimberley Golf Course, Shadow Mountain, St. Eugene Mission and Way-Lyn.

The cabin is located only 17 kms from the international airport (Cranbrook); you could be skiing or golfing in less than an hour of arrival!

The Kimberley ski resort provides excellent downhill and cross-country skiing, dog sledding and snow shoeing opportunities during the winter months, as well as wild water rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking (in the adjoining Nature Park), a climbing facility and mountain biking opportunities, besides golfing, during all other seasons.

About Erika

I have been enjoying the outdoors that Kimberley offers for over 20 years. I especially appreciate the times when I stand on top of the ski hill and call the mountain "my own", sharing a slope with only very few other skiers and enjoying soft and fluffy snow conditions. Other times I pack my cross-country gear for a good workout along the many groomed Nordic trails and through the trees.

If you are looking for a place that suits everyone's needs, this is an ideal retreat for you. Nestled in the trees among other cabins on a private, quiet street 2.5 km off the main highway, you can enjoy access to the river, the Nature Park, a former railway track-bicycle trail to Cranbrook, the Kimberley Golf course, all right at your doorstep. Or you can step up your adventure and go river rafting, rock climbing, and mountain biking. There is something for everyone!

This is your home away from home! I have furnished the cabin for personal living and comfort, beyond what you would get in a rental cabin. The feedback I receive consistently is that the cabin was truly a home away from home!

Cozy cabin

We loved our stay here! There are lots of great hiking trails around, the cabin was very cozy and the boys loved seeing so many deer around :)

Amazing kitchen and health room.

The cabin is beautiful and it's close to a lot of great trails to ride or hike. Nice quiet area. Close enough to stores but far enough that it feels like a slice of paradise. Pet friendly was a deciding factor and my dogs loved every walk we did exploring and swimming in the river near by.

Well-appointed log cabin in a great quiet location just outside Kimberley for a family get-away: exactly what we expected. Dog friendly too. The owner was very professional, helpful and prompt in corresponding. Lots of wildlife around the cabin.

Short drive into town and the ski hill.

We will very likely rent again.

A wonderful rental/home. We were in Kimberely for a week for a wedding and this fully furnished home suited all our needs. Deer in the back and behind the next house were beautiful. All amenities provided. We were six and had very fine accommodations. Adequate parking for three vehicles. Ten minutes from Kimberley and/or Cranbrook. This unit comes highly reccommended for full familys. The interior is beautifully furnished and decorated by someone who cared for the decor presentation.
