About Scott and Patricia Dean
We always enjoy meeting new people and helping them experience our pristine, natural West Coast Islands. We both can`t wait to get outside and explore our very own natures playground. Every day is another adventure when you live on the coast and especially in Yellow Point. We are so lucky to live on one of the most picturesque islands in B.C. The people who live here are always so helpful and friendly. It is always a special treat for us to infuse ourselves in luxurious comfort when we are fortunate enough to wake up to the surf breaking on the beach right below our own bedroom.

Why Scott and Patricia Dean chose North Oyster
We love the Ocean, it is so full of life! Our condo is nestled right on the waters edge. I cannot say enough about our spectacular ocean view from every room. Our peaceful resort is the perfect place to relax and let those island winds blow your troubles away. The climate in Yellow Point is one of the best on our west coast. It has the tradition of having the least rain and warmest temperatures on the island. It is always stunning, whether it is sunny and hot or brisk and stormy. The local area is close to farm markets, an old english style pub, fine restaurants, artist shops and a beautiful lake. Yellow Point is not far from the city but situated in the heart of the country. Truly a diamond in the rough.
What makes this Condo unique
We love having fun, so this is the perfect place for us. Swimming in the pool, relaxing in the spa, kayaking the shorelines, exploring the islands, and fishing our secret spots are just some of the fun things we do. We sometimes like relaxing in our deck chairs gazing out at the Ocean, sipping our favorite beverages and munching on some freshly caught crab. Prying a few fresh oysters off the rocks and throwing them on the barbie is always a pleasant and tasty treat. Taking in everything that we have to offer is definetly why we are here.

Once again a wonderful stay
Our second time at this resort and we had a fabulous time. It’s a great place to come, to escape the stresses of everyday life. The sound of the ocean, the smell of the sea air and looking out for wildlife was certainly what was needed to chill out and relax. Accommodation was comfortable and had all that you could need plus spectacular views. Love this place. Truly a treasure.

Stunning little piece of paradise!
The condo is immaculate and has a full kitchen, with all of the gadgets! View is great, and the ocean was warm enough to swim!
Would definitely return!
Great Family Vacation
We loved our time at Emerald Bay! The condo was beautiful, spacious and clean and the complex had a pool, playground and tennis courts which the kids really enjoyed. It was a “home away from home” and we would definitely go back!
Location and Owner Both Great!
Our family of 4 stayed here from Aug. 16-22, 2019. Scott was very easy to work with: promptly replying to emails and very accommodating. The unit, IMO, is the best in the complex. Other reviewers wrote that it was a bit noisy being near the pool, but that wasn’t a problem for us. I enjoying napping in the fabulous patio furniture in the middle of the day! Not too noisy at all and a great spot to watch your kids from (who are strong swimmers and able to be out of arms’ length). The cleanliness rating of 4/5 was only because the upholstery and carpets had some staining but they weren’t dirty. This seems to be a popular and well-used unit, and rightly so. Future renters should note that there isn’t laundry detergent to purchase in the laundry room, and, as mentioned in the ad, you need loonies. $3 / wash or dry, and the machines are efficient. The detergent thing wasn’t a problem for us, as I brought my own pods. There are tennis rackets and balls provided in the unit which my kids enjoyed using. You can see from the photos that the shore is very rocky; this is great for exploring and ‘rock-hopping’ as we enjoyed doing, but proper shoes are a must, especially if you have little ones. Again, we were prepared for this. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and I would rent from Scott again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Everything about this place was perfect! It overlooks the pool, which is open from 8am to dusk, so there is some general noise associated with that, but nothing out of the norm - just something to consider if you like to sleep in. The homemade wine was great and a really nice touch. Huge thanks to Scott, we were so happy with our stay there and look forward to staying at Inn of the Sea again!
Our check in was late but the property more than made up for the late check in. Great place to stay and area.
Bungy Jumping just around the corner, Guided fishing trips in Nanaimo and Ladysmith. Great walking and hiking trails. Beautiful Kayaking.
