A winning experience!

  • 5 of 5

Four women friends who have been traveling together for one week each year celebrated our 30th anniversary of travel by returning to Ireland. Our house on Mannin Bay is definitely one of the best houses we've ever rented. Beautiful setting, house had everything we could want. Beds were very comfortable, great kitchen and lots of room to sit and read, talk or just watch the birds, seals, and weather change.

Everything and more

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautifully furnished and at the same time wonderfully functional. A perfect place to stay for a week or a month or two. The view is indeed spectacular and the house couldn't be more comfortable. We loved our time here and are already thinking about coming back for an extended stay. Melanie was great in getting us oriented and Catherine was helpful and prompt and friendly in every way.

Thanks,

Tom

Splendid serenity

  • 5 of 5

This lovely cottage on Mannin Bay in the Connemara region is exactly as depicted in the photos and description. The house is bright and cheerful with updated amenities. The large picture window in the main living area was our entertainment as we watched the seals and herons. Melanie made sure we knew how to use the fireplace which we did at night. She placed fresh flowers on the table to greet us and made sure we knew how to reach her during our stay. Melanie gave us suggestions for sightseeing including making sure we knew about a children's parade in nearby Clifden that weekend.

It is a bit longer of a drive on narrow roads back to Galway City than we anticipated so we modified our plans to stay in the Connemara region. The cottage provided a quiet home base for our visit.

The house is well equipped including a kitchen which met our needs completely. We didn't see that reflective safety vests were in the house as we had seen in other lodgings during our visit to the country. The roads are not well lit so be sure to bring your own gear if you plan to walk during the evening or early morning. Otherwise, we wanted for nothing and we would definitely recommend this wonderful house for anyone wanting a place to stay while visiting Connemara.

An excellent choice to book for at least a week!

  • 5 of 5

In a rural setting with nature in full bloom at your doorstep this home is clean and modern. The decor has been tastefully created from designer publications and is appointed with culinary delight. We loved walking (2-3kms) to witness a variety of pasture grazers and the beautiful beaches along the coast. From Inishbofin to the Marconi signal station there are many ways to experience life and history among the people of Ireland.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Great house with great views of farm, cows and bay right out front window, House had everything we needed for our 4 day stay, including full kitchen. Easily slept 6 adults.

Pub just down the road was very good and is part of local convenience/market. Members and staff at nearby Connemara Golf Links were the best. Food and views from club restaurant were fantastic and reasonably priced. Town of Clifden is 10 minute ride and winding road has great views. Worth the trip!
