This is one of the District's tastefully renovated Historic Row Homes that is now 'The Suite Up On The Hill'.

Nicely renovated and decorated townhome for those conducting business or just vacationing in the nation's Capitol. You will not believe the Location, Location, Location of this Suite you are walking along the same streets as your Senators as they travel from Union Station or their offices to the Capitol. The hearings you see on C-SPAN2 are happening right up the street on the opposite side of Union Station. Clean refreshing decor with so much more to offer than a hotel room, all the amenities you need when your away from home. Neighborhood located on F St NE at 2nd in a quiet residential neighborhood. A great corner coffee shop 'Ebenezer’s' and 'Toscana' Italian restaurant are only a few steps from the 'Suite', or just a block away visit Union Station with its variety of shops and restaurants its amazing architecture all of which are tourist favorites. When people hear the words train station they conjure up something quite different than what they find at Union Station. This is a site used for Inauguration Balls by elected Presidents, as well as other major events, Christmas is certainly something to see.
I am a former realtor in the District of Columbia so I know location. This is one you're sure to enjoy. The convenience of being able to walk to most places of interest while having the option of using Union Station Metro (DC subway system very user friendly).
We travel and the experience isn't always as pleasant as it could be with a little more effort. So we knew the level of service we wanted to provide to our guest, we give that little bit extra to make sure you enjoy and recommend us. We want your referral, so please let your family and friends know how nice was your stay.
We can't over-emphasize the location, cleanliness, peace and quiet provided by the 'Suite Up on the Hill 2' but the key to enjoying you stay is the owner/manager Ingrid. She is just a phone call or email away and very helpful without being too intrusive.
I almost did not rent this place as it is called 'Suite on the Hill' and as a tourist, I thought there would be an actual hill we would need to climb to get there. I checked it out on Google maps and there was clearly no hill which could have been an issue for my Dad. For a house built in 1840, his place was so much better than I expected! Plenty of hot water, air conditioning, cable TV, computer with internet and even a washer and dryer. I wasn't even bummed that the curtain rod fell down when I tried to move the curtains, or that the door came off of the closet in my room as these were the only even slightly negative comments I could make. What do I like about this place?... LOCATION! From here you can walk to all of the major tourist attractions, or catch a Circulator bus or a taxi from Union Station about 1 block away. QUIET! I was concerned that proximity to Union Station would mean noise from trains. Not a sound! The street is very quiet with almost no traffic. NEIGHBORHOOD! Super coffee shop across the street and GREAT Italian Restaurant at the corner. INGRID! So nice and easy to work with. She made us feel very welcome on arrival and was available if we were to need anything - which we did not. The suite is very comfy and plenty large enough for the four of us who were there at the time. BATHROOMS! We had 2 so there was never any problem with access. The bathtub is huge and has jets. Another plus!Overall, I would say that my family and I would definitely return and have already recommended this property to other travellers. I also very much appreciated the prompt return of my security deposit which I received in less than a week after departing.Just watch your shins when you enter as the trundle bed in the front room offers only a small clearance between it and the door. A cable TV guide would be useful as it did take me about 20 minutes to figure out how to turn on the TV and which channels we got.Enjoy your stay in beautiful Washington DC
My family enjoyed out stay and will be back. We highly recommend this property. It was clean, homey and very centerally located. Myself and 3 more adults stayed comfortably. I suggest the little market/cafe at the end of the street to the left. The owners were awesome and helpful from our first contact onward.
My family (4 adults and 2 kids) stayed at this property for four nights. First, the location is very convenient, less than five minutes walking distance to Union Station, where you can find any kind of food and grocery from a new Walgreen. The townhouse is very nice, clean and quiet. The owner answered my questions very quickly. They are very nice and happy to provide any help. My security deposit was returned in three weeks as they promised.
I will definitely stay here for my next trip to D.C. and also recommend it to my friends.
We stayed at Suite up on the Hill for a week during school vacation with our two sons (ages 12 and 9) and the Suite was just perfect. You will not find a better location in the city. Just a block from Union Station on a cute neighborhood street with a little neighborhood restaurant on the corner and a fabulous coffee shop across the street (we miss the coffee already...seriously good). What is better than after an exhausting day of sightseeing to know that you are only steps from the metro to get home? And then to get to get back to a cute row house and feel like you can experience city living instead of a hotel. The Suite was clean and simple and fit our needs perfectly. Deon was so kind to meet us the first night even though we came in so late and walked us through the apartment and gave us a brief review of the city. Deon and Ingrid were great to deal with. A high recommendation from this family. Great home base to explore this fantastic city.
We enjoyed this cozy little townhouse. Comfortable for a family of four, great location. Furnishings are basic but functional, kitchen is well supplied. Great internet/wifi, hosts were responsive and polite. Thanks!
Great little place in a perfect location. Close to shops, restaurants and Union Station. Very safe neighborhood.
This property is located in the perfect spot for visiting DC! Our family of six felt at home and comfortable in this lovely home. Ingrid and Deon are wonderful hosts. Deon met us when we arrived and they arrived promptly when we called about a minor issue. This property is a very quick walk to Union Station yet located on a quiet street. We were able to find a parking spot on the street and never moved our vehicle the entire stay. The neighborhood restaurant just a few doors down is very good. We would stay here again if we return to Washington. It's just the perfect place!
