Love this cottage

  • 5 of 5

This review is over due. We stayed here in August 2016. It was our second time staying here. We love this cottage. So peaceful and relaxing and so pretty by the creek. It has become our annual place to go. We have another trip planned for August 2017. Can't wait!

Larger than expected

  • 5 of 5

Well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Doug, The owner, will stop by and get you anything you might still need but he had it all covered. One thing not mentioned were the tubes your family can use in the creek and my children really liked those. Many updates but still the novelty of staying in a cabin by the creek.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Nice spot, beautiful scenery. Close enough to Knoebels but still private and tucked away. We very much enjoyed the creek and the views of it from the back porch. Having a fire by the creek was wonderful!

What a great cottage!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the cottage while traveling for work, and was there for an extended period of time. Absolutely LOVED staying at Mayberry Canyon Cottage! The beautiful cabin, finished with knotty pine walls, is nestled in a secluded valley along a babbling creek. It is stocked with anything you could want or need for and enjoyable stay. If you are in need of something additional, the owner, Doug, is close by and more than willing to get whatever you need. The screened in back porch tops off the stay, where you can enjoy your coffee in the cool morning, and a nice glass of wine in the evening. I definitely recommend staying at Mayberry Canyon Cottage!

The Darlin's

  • 5 of 5

We call ourselves The Darlin's, a group of woman (mom's, aunt's, sisters, cousin) have been vacationing together for 17 years. No men, no children are invited. We have spent many years going to the beach and the last 4-5 years going to Gatlinburg, TN. My husband, kids and I visit Knoebels every year. Sometimes we camp, rent a hotel or just come for the day. The Darlin's were talking about a new adventure this year so I started searching and found this cute little cabin along the creek. Far enough off the beaten path with privacy and scenery that you wouldn't believe but not too far from civilization. We found our way quite well. The pictures of this cabin are deceiving. It was very spacious inside, fully equipped with anything you would need, even a crock pot and electric skillet!! Fire wood, canoe and rafts provided also. The owner Doug came over to check on us later in the day that we arrived to make sure we didn't need anything and he told us of some of the local attractions and events going on. Extremely nice man. We called on him one time and he was over to help us out within minutes. The screened in porch, floating in the creek, splashing with Rusty the friendly neighbor dog, making smores and drinking wine by the fire at night was amazing. Our day trips to Knoebels riding rides, watching shows and swimming at the pool were so much fun. And of course a group of ladies found the local Walmart and shoe store our second day. Our days were very busy and it was so nice coming back to this comfy little cottage to settle for the night. Out of our last 16 years of vacations and experiences, this was our favorite. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended for any age group.
