About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This home is a replica of a Victorian cottage with authentic details in and out.

The front porch has 120 year old brackets supporting the roof with cast iron railings. The living area has old pine floors with travertine in one bath and the kitchen, the other bath has marble floors. Our kitchen cabinets are made from antique cypress materials from old New Orleans homes. All appliances are upgrade. Furnishings are either custom made or antiques. One bedroom has a cypress four posted bed and the other an antique high back oak bed. A screened porch has outside dining and an additional sleeping area. An attached deck has another table and chairs as well as a gas grill. A small burn pit is perfect for cool nights.

About bill boesch

My wife and I lived in Bay St Louis for twenty years before Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home. We relocated to New Orleans for our jobs and only recently have been able to rebuild in 'The Bay'.

bill boesch purchased this house in 2010

Why bill boesch chose Bay Saint Louis

Bay St Louis is a unique small town known for its Art community and gulf side charm. Originally a summer playground for New Orleanians in the 19th century, it is now a charming collection of antique shops, restaurants, and of course casinos!

What makes this house unique

Our home is in a quiet neighborhood just three blocks from the bay and a few miles to Olde Town and the beaches. It is an oasis of serenity near all the activity you could want

Peaceful and Lovely

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this Victorian cottage so much. It rained the day after we got there but we actually didn't mind staying in. The cottage is extremely well equipped.

Loved the back screened in porch, the openness in the kitchen/living area and all the Victorian touches in furniture and architectural details. There wasn't one thing we needed that we didn't have there. The street is very quiet yet the house is not far from the beach. We'd love to go back - soon!

Very clean and well-appointed cottage with some high end features

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed here at least three times now over the past few years, and it is consistently just a wonderful experience. They have everything that you might need for a great stay, including kitchen items, bathroom necessities, beach accessories, and even two cruiser bicycles!

We are looking forward to coming back this year or the next, hopefully. Highly recommended.

Peaceful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in BSL. The beautiful cottage has all necessities (and then some). The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Everything, including the beach, is a short drive away. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

A sweet getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was well-equipped, clean, lovely, and homey. All the essentials (and then some) that I could have asked for were readily at hand. Neighborhood was cozy, quiet, and peaceful, ideal both for sleeping in in the morning, and serene afternoon walks with my dog. Brooklyn Pizza nearby was tasty and convenient, and of course the beach and other amenities in town, especially the Mockingbird. It was hard to pack up and leave! My only note for Gigi and Bill is that the padlock for the shed appears to be rusted; it was not engaged when I arrived, and I couldn't get it to close when I tried.

Thanks for the perfect cottage for my beach retreat. I hope to return sometime in the not too distant future!
