On the slopes of Mount Etna, nestled among lemon trees descending towards the sea, sits this charming farmhouse with private pool. Set in a commanding position, Villa Edera enjoys magnificent views towards the sea and the coast between Taormina and Acireale. Recently and carefully restored, the villa is the oldest part of the farm complex, consisting of the manor house, a wine press and various agricultural buildings. Great care was taken to preserve the character and charm of this dwelling. Dating back to 1700, it retains many of its original exterior and interior architectural features. The interior decoration, featuring terracotta floor tiles and select antiques, creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. Each room contains elements of traditional Sicilian style, such as the kitchen decorated with artisan-made ceramic tiles. The villa offers plenty of outdoor space; panoramic terraces overlook the lawn and garden with Mediterranean plants, and the pool (open April 1 - October 31). A perfect venue for relaxing with a good book, or glass of local wine. Villa Edera is an excellent starting point for exploring the Etna park and its surrounding villages. This can be done on your own via self-guided excursions, or through delicious wine and gastronomy tours. Also Catania, Acireale and the enchanting Riviera of the Cyclops are easily reachable by car.

Acireale is an ancient, thermal small town situated on the eastern coast of Sicily, 20 Km to the north of Catania. Its history is characterized by the earthquakes and the eruptions of Mt. Etna that, several times, have upset the order of the territory. The last reconstruction - after the earthquake in the 1693 - resulted in the splendid Baroque look that made Acireale one of the most beautiful towns in Sicily. Worth visiting are: San Sebastian Church, the Zelantea art gallery, the theater of the Puppets Opera, and the Cathedral square with its enchanting Baroque scenery. Also worth seeing is the Carnival that, with its allegorical floats of papier-mâché, attracts visitors from all the world. The surrounding area offers volcanic landscapes, quaint fishing villages such as Santa Tecla, Stazzo, and Santa Maria la Scala.
