Easy country living in a cozy homelike atmosphere is what this location is about. The perfect home for day trips to the sea and relaxing in the countryside!! CinqueTerre, Tuscany, and Portofino are all less than an hour away. Villa Ricco is a comfortable summer family home located just outside the village of Ricco di Golfo near Liguria. The villa is on a 15 acre estate of vineyards and forests, and easy walking distance to the village. Ricco di Golfo is a 15 minute drive from La Spezia, and near the Cinque Terre towns. Outdoor parking is available with the Autostrada a 10 minute drive from the villa, which makes it a convenient base for visiting towns like Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Portofino, etc. The villa dates back to the early 1900's. There are many antique furnishings, paintings, and memorabilia. It has a feel of a country farmhouse yet it is just behind the hills and sea of the Cinque Terre. Some of the hiking trails of the Cinque Terre Park start about a mile away from the villa. Guests who come in September can participate in the grape harvest on the property. Villa Ricco is well located for touring Liguria and enjoying the Italian countryside. The American owner can help you with lots of local information. Upon request baby equipment can be arranged such as stroller, portable bed, car seat, etc. Cook and maid are also available.

On the first floor is a comfortable living room with original ceiling frescoes from the early 1900's. Adjacent is a spacious dining room that is connected to the kitchen, newly remodeled in 2001 and equipped with a gas oven, a dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven and American coffee maker. The view from the kitchen window is of the garden and vineyards. A door in the kitchen leads to a patio area in the garden ideal for al fresco dining. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second floor.One large queen bedroom has furniture dating back to the Napoleonic era. A small balcony faces the village and hills beyond. There are four other queen bedrooms with lovely traditional furniture. There are two full bathrooms, one has a shower and the other has a tub with a hand held shower. A window overlooks the beautiful vineyards. Upon request baby equipment can be arranged such as stroller, portable bed, and car seat.
Note: Heating is provided through a pellets system and the first 5 bags are included after which 5 euros for each extra bag.
