This lovely two-bedroom home is in the Cottonwood section of Sun Lakes an adult resort community located just south of Phoenix. This immaculate ranch home provides 1554 sq.ft. of open relaxed living space. It boasts a formal dinning room for all your entertainment needs, along with a dine in area in the kitchen. The kitchen is loaded with storage space and is complete with cooking utensils. The living room has a queen size sofa sleeper for extra guest. Both the living and dining rooms look out to a beautiful wrap around patio, with BBQ grill and 3 bountiful fruit trees ready for your picking (seasonal Feb-Mar) fresh grapefruit, oranges and lemons for fresh squeezed breakfast juice. The floors are easy care tile in all the right places and carpeting in the living room and bedrooms. There are 2 master bedroom suites, each separated from the common area with its own privacy door.
Golf cart is included with rental.
The Cottonwood County Club offers an 18 hole golf course, library, restaurant, lounge, ballroom, hobby rooms, lapidary shop, lighted tennis courts, hot tub and heated pools. The rest of Sun Lakes Community provides 4 more golf courses, 6 swimming pools including a kiddie pool and lap pool, club houses, spas, gym, aerobics, tennis courts, racquet ball, billiards, pitching park, shuffle board, bingo and restaurants. There is fine dining in the Palo Verde and Oakwood Country Clubs and Poolside dining at the Cafe' in Oakwood. Sun Lakes offers many adult classes including wood working, pottery, lapidary and dancing. They have periodic live entertainment on site and many group sight seeing trips for your enjoyment.
Our home is located 22 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. With in minutes you can enjoy all that a major metropolitan area has to offer including major league teams. It's a short drive to Scottsdale for shopping, 4 hrs to the Grand Canyon, 2 hrs to Sedona and 1.5 hrs to Tucson.

On our 35th Wedding Anniversary we purchased our dream retirement home in Sun Lakes. We have a few years before we can enjoy it as our permanent residence.

We were visiting friends in Sun Lakes and fell in love the friendly community. We think it will be the ideal place to retire. There are so may activities that you can't possible do it all. Sun Lakes seems to keep the old young.
We both enjoy the golf facilities at Sun Lakes and the heated pool. We have enjoyed many fine dinners at the Palo Verde Club house and dancing at the Cottonwood Lounge on Friday nights. We are looking forward to experiencing the many other amenities.
We are so appreciative that these folks allowed us to fill the 2 week period in the calendar. We only wish that it were vacant for a longer stay. The home is charming with a very convenient layout. Sun Lakes is a wonderful community.

Our stay was very comfortable. The house was very clean and well stocked. You need a car to get around to the many eateries and services in Chandler. We like the south east Phoenix local with easy access to I-10 for travels toward Tucson. We would stay here again.
We were very pleased with this property. And after spending 3 months in this home, we had a comprehensive experience and feel we can speak to many of the features and benefits of the home. The photos give a good feel for the place, but what they don't do is give you the feeling you get when you pick your citrus each day from the trees in the back garden. The house is located conveniently between golf and tennis and is a quick trip to the shops for amenities. The house layout provides for open concept use and privacy should you have guests coming by. The owners had a friend who lived down the street from the property and she was a phone call away for questions we had and was able to provide us with information and guidance as we settled in and grew comfortable at the home and the community. We would certainly recommend this property - in fact we will be returning next year.
My wife & I were happy to find this home available and filled with pleasant surprizes. It was a great home base for exploring SL and the surrounding communities. The owners accepted our credit card, which is a real plus. We entertained and made use of the gas barbeque, golf cart, bicycles, and video library. The crisscross phone directory was also a great resource for locating people from different cities - I found a young lady from my high school class of '62! My wife & I met many people & enjoyed exploring all the different resources in the community and nearby - golf, shopping, dining, entertainment, garage sales, fitness centers, & realtor open houses. The community was so impressive that we abandoned Plan A (to buy in a couple of years) & signed an offer to buy a home in Cottonwood this winter. I hope it comes with an updated crosscross phone directory!
It was our great fortune to have rented this home for our first two month 'Snowbird" experience in Arizona.
It starts with an ideal location in the heart of Sun Lakes, close to all the amazing amenities this community has to offer. Still, it is literally minutes from I-10 and AZ 202 to get you anywhere quickly when you want to stretch out in the area. We hadn't realized what an interesting tourist destination Arizona really is.
The home is warm, clean and modern, with granite counter tops and almost everything new. The house looked good in the VRBO pictures, and when we first walked in, it may have showed even better. The patio / lanai was a great place to sit back and watch the Arizona sunset or light the chiminea after a good barbeque. The fruit trees were fabulous - fresh picked grapefruit every morning, and we were looking up lemon recipes on the internet to make use of that tree's prolific harvest.
The owners had just recently purchased this house for their future home, and made every effort possible to quickly provide us with any small items we mentioned were desirable and missing from their original cupboard stocks. Their helpful attitude contributed to our great experience, and would highly recommend this home to others.
