Set in a charming tropical garden, the entrance to Little Jazz Bird invites you into a beautiful hacienda style Caribbean home with a stunning view. Through the arched windows, the panoramic scene is awash with shades of blue, from the turquoise of the large pool out to the deep blue Caribbean and rich blue sky. Just beyond the large terracotta tiled terrace is the private entrance to the beach. It is very private here, behind the gates of Residence Baie Rouge.
The large swimming pool is the centerpiece of the expansive terrace. Additional covered places have recently been added to the villa, increasing the areas for al-fresco dining and lounging. Beautiful tropical plantings and soaring sea grape trees are scattered in little gardens on the terrace creating a very relaxing zen atmosphere.
The interior living area is a large, light filled open plan space with a beautiful flow that encompasses multiple lounging areas and indoor dining. The high arched windows bring the view into the room. The style is an electric mix of exotic with contemporary in a happy colorful attitude. Native coral walls are incorporated into the dcor. Beautiful and colorful artwork and a pretty combination of cream, vanilla and mango fabrics and accessories mix with teak, painted wood and wicker to complement the visual scheme. The well-equipped open plan kitchen, facing the view, has recently been updated.
The villa features four bedrooms facing the ocean plus one in a private cottage with garden views. The large master suite is also a family bedroom that includes an additional bed perfect for children to share the space. Each bedroom is romantically furnished in white, taupe with touches of fabrics from Provence accented in teak and painted woods. Each en-suite bathroom is charmingly tiled in the iconic French Provence tiles authentic to St-Martins Terres Basses villas. One bathroom has an outdoor shower adding after a recent renovation.
Although secluded, you are close to amenities. It is a short drive to Baie Nettles culinary stars Le Sand, Dreams and Mezza Luna plus food shopping. You are 2 minutes to the restaurants and casinos of Cupecoy; a further five minutes to the international airport. In 10 minutes you will find yourself in the French Capital, Marigot, with its duty free shopping, high-end boutiques, bakeries and Creole Market.
Please Note: Baie Rouge Beach may be affected by shifting seasonal currents and weather patterns. For the best swimming renters are recommended to walk down the beach near the public entrance where the waters are more protected.

Great place right on the beach. Plenty of room for everyone.
Two of our six guests work between 100-140 hours a week and look forward to being able to do absolutely nothing but relax by the ocean with no responsibilities. Luxury Retreats represents Villas where they can do this and the Villa staff and Concierge make sure they don't have any responsibilities. What more could you ask for?
Great place for family and friends to get together for a special occasion.
My husband and I treated both sets of our parents and our 3 sons ages 4 and under to this vacation get away. The house was perfect and the staff was very accommodating. We loved the cultural experience of St Martin and the weather was perfection. The home was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our only regrets is that the beach was not swimmable due to the rocks and waves (wish we would have known this in advance as our boys were really looking forward to swimming) and the bugs were very bad in the evening so we couldn't dine alfresco as planned. Overall it was a magical experience, however, and we are very impressed with Luxury Retreats.
The updates on the inside were great. The outside needs work. From the website the tennis court looks beautiful but Luxury Retreats and the owner know that the court is unusable and unplayable and doesn't resemble the pictures at all. We wanted to play each morning during our stay but it wasn't possible. I called Clea about it. How can Luxury Retreats go along with this??? The villa was much better than the last time we saw it, so congratulations to some improvements. The care taker did his job but someone - even part time - could scrape and paint and sand and totally improve the outside appearance. Over all we had a wonderful time and with the tennis court improvement, would come back. Clea and Julio were great and addressed our every question.
The house provided everything that we had hoped to enjoy. The home was beautiful, location was perfect and we really could not have asked for anything more regarding the home. What was very disappointing was a problem we encountered with Katie, the housekeeper. On the day before our departure she inquired about our departure time of 12:00 on Saturday and told us we needed to leave earlier than the scheduled check out time because she had "clients" coming in and she would need to have the house ready for them. Friday afternoon she proceeded to clean ALL of the windows and sliding doors and told us before she left to not touch the glass or mess up the clean doors. And also told us to not use the half bath. We were insulted as check out was not until noon on Saturday . She gave us the clear impression that from Friday afternoon on we were not toe my or use the house that we had already paid for. It was offensive.
