Nice property

  • 3 of 5

Overall the cabin is in good condition. Unfortunately, slightly outdated. All the 5 bathrooms had old curtains; you can tell they didn't change it for at least a few months. One of the bathrooms downstairs had terrible stains. They also didn't clean properly the master bedroom/bathroom, we found a few items left behind from the previous guest. The living is definitely too small for the size of the cabin - only two love seats and a small broken recliner. We used the hot tub once, and ran out of hot water until the following morning. Very small TVs in all rooms. Probably won't stay here again - we had higher expectations for the amount of money we paid. Kelly was very friendly and polite but this cabin needs a major cleaning and updates before their next guest!

The cabin was very nice. Bring coat hangers if you wish to store any clothing. Not a property for anyone with disabilities because there is no ground level entrance. Would have given 5 stars but after booking I noticed they ran a special of 3 nights for the price of two which we had already booked two nights. I inquired about the 3 day deal and was told it was on my rental agreement. It was not that I could see, and when calling for the entry codes for the cabin they said we were booked for 3 nights but then corrected and said no just two nights. Anyhow it's a nice place just somehow felt a little cheated by their pricing.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, I'm sorry about the confusion but we would have been more then happy to add a night at no charge. Anytime we offer a special after you book we will let guests take advantage of it.

It was very convenient and accessible to Pigeon Forge activities. This is our 10th year as a family

  • 4 of 5

Property was lovely with exception of no insulation so every step made above you was like a loud stomp. It was spacious with exception of living area. It was probably the smallest we have used for 11 people. The outside light was out when we got there and was not fixed until the next night but we did appreciate that. It made a difference in our feeling safer going up steps. I feel it was the realtor's responsibility to have things checked before rentor arrives. I will avoid using this realtor in future as they were not truthful re Stampede tickets. I got run-a-round with 4 different responses when asked how to get them. Luckily we needed to change them. We were told there that the dealer was trying to get us to look at property for sale was the reason that.this happened. I am sorry this was the case and I had to believe it as the last thing I was told was that tickets were at the cabin which of course they were not. We are grateful they did not pursue this once we arrived as that would have made our visit less pleasant. While it may have been both Stampede and realtor working together it was confusing and frustrating. Sorry.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, We are glad you enjoyed the Cabin itself. No one at our office is a Realtor or in any associated with a Real Estate Agency. I'm not sure who you spoke with regarding Dixie Stampede but it was not Old Mill Lodging. We do sell Dixie tickets and they are left in the Cabin for guests when they arrive. I believe you spoke to a time share rep while you were in town that is no way associated with Old Mill Lodging. We did not sell any tickets to any guest who stayed in this Cabin in the last year. Again we are glad you enjoyed the Cabin. Old Mill Lodging

Nice accomodations

  • 4 of 5

The home was spacious and in a good and quiet location. It was clean and comfortable. The management company is very attentive from the beginning of the booking and while we were there. But be aware of the following. The picture of the home doesn't capture just how steep the driveway is. It's VERY steep and in the fall when there are acorns on the ground, it's a slipping hazard. We pulled the car into the neighbors driveway to unload. Parking is limited at the house. You can get 3 cars in the driveway but use your emergency brake. There is additional parking 1-2 houses down but it's a first come, first serve basis. The kitchen has the basic essentials but could be better stocked with more such as more mixing bowls, cookie sheets, etc. There are plenty of glasses, cups and plates all good quality. Also, with all the wood on the inside, the floors creak a lot. Area rugs in the bedrooms would help cut the noise. We did not regret staying here and there was ample room for all of us and plenty to do. All in all, we had a nice time. Just wish we were aware of these issues.
