Why Mike chose Beech Mountain

We love the mountains and actually rented this unit in 2005 for a Thanksgiving holiday. We found the unit for sale the following year and made an offer promptly. The cabin is on Beech Mountain so its very close to skiing Beech and and a short drive to Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, and Blowing Rock.

What makes this cabin unique

The property is centrally located. We enjoy the full kitchen and the covered decks, especially the back deck, because you can hear the creek that runs through the property's back yard.

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just recently stayed at your cabin for a long weekend getaway. It was just the right size for the two of us and our stay was very comfortable. We found plenty of things to get out and do. Grandfather Mtn, Blowing Rock, and Linville Falls were the highlights of our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and we cooked breakfast every morning and even baked a Moravian pie we bought at a roadside market one evening.

Again.. thanks for letting us stay at your cabin! We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect for me and my husband

  • 5 of 5

The cabin so cute and perfect for me and my husband. He told me several times that I did a really good job picking where we stayed. It had everything we needed to get away for the weekend. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful little mountain cabin

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I celebrated our four year anniversary here at the end of February. We absolutely loved the little cabin. It was perfect location to everything. We enjoyed sitting on the tiny back porch every morning drinking coffee ... and in the evening drinking wine :) it was a perfect size for the two of us. The only complaints we had (which matched everyone else’s) were the tub which took forever to get hot / fill up! And the cleanliness. It definitely needs a good deep cleaning. But overall, we had an incredible time! We would absolutely come back! :)

Fantastic tiny house get away!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Beech Mountain this year for our 2nd anniversary. We chose this cabin to stay in because it looked like a quiet place to hide away and relax after a few long days of snowboarding. The cabin did not disappoint! It was everything we wanted. It was so secluded that we only saw one other person around the property during our 3 night stay (He was plowing the neighbors drive after the snow storm). We also took some of the owners restaurant recommendations into account and had dinner at Sorrento’s Italian Bistro and did a wine tasting at Banner Elk Winery. The burgers at Bayou Smokehouse and Grill also hit the spot and the staff was very friendly and entertaining as well!

I would certainly go back!

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I loved the place. We found the place cozy and invinting. On the down side, the floor was dirty, TV was not working and no instructions on how to tune the channels properly and although was cold and a very invinting weather for a glass of wine, there isn’t a single wine glass in the place. We bought some bottles of wine and had to drink it in water glasses. Not as fun ;)

However, I would like to highlight that Mike provided all the good tips and made us feel comfortable. If you ever go to Banner Elk, you must go to teo places: Banner Elk Winery - spend the afternoon there and the Luisiana Purchase restaurant. You will not regret it!!!
