About Susan Fogarty
Greg and I met in college, have been married for twenty four years and are the parents of two wonderful daughters. We love the outdoors and have been on over 50 camping trips ranging from backpacking, canoe camping, snowshoeing to plain 'ol campground camping.
Susan Fogarty purchased this House in 2010
Why Susan Fogarty chose Chincoteague Island
From staying at a friends' house in Chincoteague, we came to realize it is the perfect family getaway. It's really hard to describe the town, other than to say to us it's perfect; it's charming, family friendly and you only need to be as busy as you want to be. We love the house because it's spacious and comfortable, close to town and has everything our family needs to really connect.
What makes this House unique
Unplugged is unique in that there are no distractions. Since our kids are only young once, we decided to try to spend our vacation time together without all the normal distractions. Now that they are older, we still use our time at Unplugged to reconnect with them. It has been wonderful. We would love to see everyone take a break from all the rush and enjoy the peace and simplicity of being 'Unplugged in Chincoteague'.

Come to Unplugged!
This was our second visit to Unplugged and we loved it as much as our first for the many amenities, location, comfortable accommodations, bikes, and beach gear. Highly recommend!
Relaxing Family Vacation
We really enjoyed the stay and the island. Lots of family time and a complete absense of stress and traffic. We really appreciated the fishing gear, beach equipment, games, puzzles, and bikes. House was spacious and had what we needed. People on the island are great.
This house had everything you could ask for. We truly enjoyed staying here. Nice, quiet street for kids to ride bikes, skateboard and scooter on. No internet but we didn't mind not having it. Was nice unplugging for a week to have quality family time.
Beautiful Chincoteague home
We enjoyed staying at this lovely and clean home. It’s close to everything and easy to walk or bike to restaurants and activities. Very close to the must do Island Creamery! The house is well equipped with anything you might need on your trip. Loved the enclosed front porch. We had plenty of room for a family of 6 and had a great time!
Unplugged vacation time
House was as described. It feels like you've stepped back in time to some island fisherman's house in the 1940's, and that's not a bad thing. Rooms are very nice, plenty of space for a large family, and it's on a pleasant Street on Chincoteague, close to Maddox street and Main St. Owner was very communicative, and responded quickly to any questions/issues we had. Be aware some guests leave behind condiments and such for others, so refrigerator may not be empty. Beach toys we're great for the kids, chairs were a little older, but worked. Overall, it was great to have the kids put together a puzzle in their downtime before we headed out instead of watching tv. Playing a board game was also a great highlight to an evening of outdoor fun. Unplugged is a great place to go, I highly recommend you try it out.
Lovely family stay in Chincoteague!
Charming early 20th century home with everything you need and nothing you don't. Location is fantastic - just a short bike ride to the bridge to Assateague, walking distance to "downtown" Chincoteague. Beach gear and bikes included in the rental! Awesome loft space for kiddos, with two queen beds and plenty of room for sleeping bags on the floor. Bathroom situation might be a bit challenging for two families sharing the house - one on the ground floor, the other in the master on the second floor. So people staying in bedroom 2 on second floor and those in loft on 3rd floor have to use master bath or head downstairs. Home owners provided lots of great tips and were lovely to work with.
