The other bedroom has 2 comfortable twin beds. The living room has a beautiful stone fireplace, satellite TV, DVD, stereo with CD player, and movies to choose from. The kitchen is spacious with dining table looking out on the river. There is ample storage for your food products, and we offer an equipped kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and pots, pans, and dishes. Cell service is spotty but Sprint is most likely to work. There is a land phone for your use with no charge for continental U.S. use.
This cabin was a great place to stay! It was clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the use of the canoe, and then of course the hot tub after several hours of rowing or hiking during the day! We liked how the campfire is next to the river - it was so beautiful to watch the moon rising over the river while making s'mores. The location of the cabin is nice, because it is close to so many things to do, but it still feels like you're away from it all. We enjoyed hiking on a trail from Skyline Drive, touring Skyline Caverns, and visiting a local park with a lake, playground, and some easier hiking trails. We would recommend this property to others. Wish our schedules would have allowed us to stay longer!
This cabin was really wonderful. Very comfortable, clean and cute. The pictures actually don't do it justice, it's even better than the pictures! Fireplace was fantastic, bed was comfortable, hot tub on the porch was really enjoyable. The view of the river is great. We came in the winter time and would love to come when it is warm and enjoy the river more. We went hiking on Kennedy Peak Trail, went and walked around Luray and also went to Luray Caverns. It really is a serene, private, relaxing place!! I highly recommend it!! We will be back!!
Great place to stay for a nice get away.
We loved our stay! It was just how we wanted to spend our new years. Bill and Peggy were very nice and helpful. The cabin was clean, the master bed was really comfortable, and the location was perfect, right on the river. It was so relaxing and cozy there. There was not quite as much privacy as we would've liked, the cabin was kind of close to the road and the couches are a little saggy. However, those two things were minor compared to everything else that was great. So overall, we definitely recommend the Stone Manor, and dealing with Bill and Peggy. Thank you so much!!
My family visited from Europe and we spent Christmas in this incredible cabin. My mother-in-law kept pinching herself to make sure she wasn't in a dream! The cabin had everything we needed for a fabulous holiday. It was incredibly clean. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace after our Christmas Day hike on Indian Ridge Trail. My husband even caught a fish using the canoe available at the cabin. The view of the river from almost any location in the cabin inspired tranquility. We highly recommend this cabin.
We thoroughly enjoyed the stone manor cabin. It couldn't have been a more perfect spot for my husband and I to vacation for our honeymoon. The cabin itself was absolutely gorgeous as well as the surrounding scenery. Their were many activities in the area to do such as hiking up the maintain, the Luray caverns, good restaurants, the zoo and more. The hot tub at the cabin was amazing! We enjoyed doing that each night.
We plan to come back next year! It was a hit!
Bill and Peggy have a lovely, clean, well-appointed cabin on a beautiful lake. On a rainy night, we enjoyed games of Scrabble and darts. On the sunny days we took out the canoe and played horseshoes. The hot tub relaxed away all of our troubles while we enjoyed the Luray attractions and Shenandoah hikes. We highly recommend a stay at Stone Manor!
