Light-filled upstairs living level. Easy access to Village & Resort cafes, shops
We enjoy coming to our mountain get-away in Squaw Valley any time of year. Our family has enjoyed Tahoe for more than 20 years. We fell in love with Squaw Valley when our sons skiied with the Squaw Valley Ski Team. At long last we purchased our 'fixer' house in 2000. It needed remodeling, so we spent a lot of time that first summer driving to Tahoe. We discovered how beautiful and fun Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe are year-round. Our older son eventually specialized in competitive Telemark skiing. He lived in the house with friends and his future wife for six years. Now both our sons are in their 30's. We don't get to Tahoe so often anymore, and are happy to share our lovely home with others.

Why Owner chose Olympic Valley
The Squaw Valley shuttle rus between The Resort at Squaw Creek and The Village at Squaw Valley. This shuttle is a great amenity, with pickup at the corner of our street, just steps from the front door. Being close to the main road was a priority. First, Squaw Valley Road always gets plowed first. So one can always get on the shuttle and to the slopes. Second, everyone can come and go independently. It's easy to get back to the house for a hot lunch or to retrieve gear left behind. No need for a car in the Valley.
What makes this House unique
We appreiate easy access to the amenities offered by The Village at Squaw Valley and The Resort at Squaw Creek. It's easy to get around to various activities: ski school, shops, cafes, restaurants, grocery & wine stores, and more. There are lots of special events, as well. We love watching the dog sleds moving across the snow-covered valley floor. At night we gaze in amazement at the bright stars so visible against the dark sky. The air at Squaw Valley is filled with the smell of evergreen trees. Squaw Valley offers such a complete package that sometimes we never feel the need to leave the valley at all.

What a perfect spot for a spring ski!
I gave my husband a spring break ski trip to Squaw for his Christmas gift, and boy was this the perfect spot. Bright, well-stocked, comfy and close to all we could ask for. Thank you!
The location can't be beat. Now that the resorts have started their excellent "Mountaineer" shuttle service, we really didn't need the car at all. They came and picked up everyone including skis within minutes! Same thing going home. I highly recommend downloading their app and using the service.
The cabin was perfectly stocked - no running to the store to get a tiny bottle of olive oil or salt and pepper shakers. Lots of dishes and pots and pans. We were able to cook our meals every night.
Four of us stayed comfortably on the two levels. We loved the master bedroom off the main level - though I guess some folks might find it not private enough. The master bath - oooh - that tub! And then the two bedrooms plus bath on the lower level were perfect for guests. Almost a separate apartment.
And the decor - what can I say? The house is lovingly furnished- everything from board games to art on the walls to comforters on the beds - is so beautiful! We felt right at home.
Perfect place for a ski vacation with my family
We were 2 couples and a single adult, with 2 small children, and the house accommodated us perfectly! The kitchen was well appointed where we cooked some amazing meals, and Squaw Valley was close for our ski outings. When we contacted the owner about the lack of firewood, she responded immediately. I highly recommend this home.
A wonderful place for our mini vacation
My wife and I along with another couple had a terrific time at your home. The layout is very user friendly, especially the kitchen , dining and living areas. Its location near the walking/ biking path was especially appreciated. The entire house was spotless. The Squaw Valley location is beautiful and we would definitely stay again.
Beautiful and very accomadating defenitly would recommend it again.

Perfect Place for Skiing Squaw!
My husband and two young children and our two childless friends stayed at this wonderful house right at the base of Squaw. It's cozy and well-stocked with all you need for a winter getaway: wood for the fireplace, snow shovels, sleds, lots of places to hang wet clothes and put snowy boots, good washer/dryer, good heat. The layout was perfect for our needs--two downstairs bedrooms, one with trundle bunk beds and another big bed, and a bathroom--and an upstairs master suite with a loft and a cool sunken bathtub. The location is awesome. The house is easy to find and has abundant parking, including a garage. It is a 4 minute drive to Squaw: excellent ski school and world class terrain, plus lots of restaurants and shops. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to nearby Truckee. The kitchen is great for preparing meals and there are plenty of dishes and utensils. Julie is so friendly and accommodating. She really knows how to manage a property and cares about the details. We can't wait to return.
Ski or snowboard to your heart's content. It doesn't get much better than Squaw Valley-Alpine Meadows. One lift tickets is valid at both Squaw and nearby Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, just a mile down the road. There's also close proximity to Homewood, Sugar Bowl and North Star ski resorts, to name a few...
