This cabin is very comfortable. It's a little outdated, but we didn't mind. The kitchen has the basic stuff, the appliances are ok, so unless you're a chef you'll be fine. We enjoyed our stay.
This (super dated) rental was decent enough but, overall, we were thoroughly disappointed. First, we expected a fully stocked kitchen since the description of the unit stated as much. We ended up having to purchase our own utensils, napkins, etc. at the little market around the corner because there wasn't enough, despite the fact that the unit accommodates 9 people. For the wine-lovers: there was only 1 wine glass and wine out of a coffee cup is just not the same. There were no oven mitts, no napkins, and only one half-used roll of paper towels. Not to mention there was trash in the bins inside the unit and dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. Also, while we appreciate the fact that this unit is dog friendly please be aware that the yard is NOT fenced (this also allowed for very loud neighbors to wander onto the property in the back) and there was a TON of old dog poop around the property that was never picked up. This, coupled with the spiders and spider webs in the unit, made the price for a 2-night stay hard to justify.
To top it off, we were pretty disappointed with the property management company, Goldfish Properties, as they NEVER replied to any emails, which is very odd. We did enjoy the proximity to the lake and market, however. If all you use the rental for is for sleep, this place at least serves that purpose. And, to be fair, the appliances were all in working order (minus the microwave that seemed on it's last leg).
As someone who owns a rental property I am aware of what should be provided to tenants. For instance, I would never provide a washer and dryer without supplying detergent to guests. If I stated that the kitchen was fully stocked, I would ensure it was. I would also replace old, holey linens. At minimum, select a property management company who maintains the property and responds to clients.
This property was perfect for our family during our stay, providing us with close access to both private and public beaches and beautiful scenery, making this a wonderful getaway from the desert heat.
A small grocery store just around the corner made it easy to pick up items we forgot to bring. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything needed to make and serve meals, and washer and dryer allowed us to handle laundry.
In addition to attractive and comfortable furnishings, the cabin had many games and puzzles, perfect for those lazy afternoons when the kids needed something to do. The value was fantastic when compared with motel prices in the area, and it made for a memorable family getaway!
