Hodge Lodge is a historic home on the award-winning private island of Parrot Cay. It is the original privately held property on the island and is located on the beach at the northeastern edge of the island, offering a 360 degree view of the sea and the sand. It was built in 1970 as a fishing lodge and has evolved into a relaxed, comfortable, charming family home. Built over the sea, the house sits high in the air, and the surrounding deck takes advantage of the constant easterly breeze and provides outdoor sun and shade all day. The large open floor plan on the top level creates a space for all to enjoy whether playing games, preparing meals, dining or just relaxing with the view. Two Balinese day beds in one corner provide the perfect spot for an afternoon nap. A new, fully equipped kitchen provides everything the gourmet cook could need, including a new wine fridge. Two outdoor dining areas offer a choice of views and breezes for dining over the water. For indoor dining, a large round table seats up to eight. The lower level offers two master suites with adjoining screened patios, each offering views of the sea from your king-sized bed. A third bedroom has two twin beds and its own private deck over the water. A great master bathroom provides a stall shower, but is seldom used, as our guests prefer the private stone outdoor shower. A short path leads you to our very private stretch of beach where the sea is warm and shallow. A beach walk to Rocky Point offers a full mile of flat white sand and turquoise sea. The island has much to explore by cart path whether walking, biking or driving our buggy. Water activities such as: diving, fishing, boating, can be arranged for you by our house manager. We hope you will visit soon!

About Andrea Curry
Hodge Lodge has been our vacation home and a source of much joy and many adventures for more than 40 years. In 1971 Russell and Alice Hodge built this house. They were avid fishermen and flew their single engine plane throughout the Caribbean fishing and exploring and were struck with the Turks and Caicos Islands. In the late 60’s there was a plan to develop Parrot Cay which Russel Hodge was a part of. The development fell through but Russell and Alice were taken with their lot and Parrot Cay and decided to build on their own. They purchased the land directly from the TCI Government in a time when there was no power, no phone, no cell phones and only CB marine radio to communicate. Russell designed the house, bought every piece of material in Florida and chartered a barge to land directly on the beach at the property. All material was offloaded by hand and the house was put up using local labor and contractors commuting by boat (often sailboat). Russell also built an airstrip on the south end of the island where he flew directly to Parrot Cay. The house was built and remains rustic on purpose and we hope that that factor is as charming to you as it is to us. In the early 90’s we watched the resort being built. Later, we watched as COMO Hotels renovated and finally opened the resort. Hodge Lodge is the only part of the island that is not owned by COMO Shambhala Resort at Parrot Cay.

What makes this Lodge unique
Parrot Cay is a 3 mile long island. It is a peaceful and healing place. Parrot Cay Resort is the only other property on island and we both understand the importance of Parrot Cay as a place to recharge, refresh and reconnect. It is an ideal place for families to come to spend quality time together and to get reconnected to nature. The ocean is an incredible turquoise blue and the sand is fine white powder. You are sure to leave feeling vibrant and healthy.

Amazing unique property with character, tranquility and everything you can possibly want for a peaceful beautiful time away.
You can easily stay the entire vacation in the house and the beautiful private beach, watching the wild life and basking in the sun and beautiful water. Or... you can take advantage of the amazing secluded COMO resort, it’s spa and restaurants.
The owner is very very attentive and helpful.
I can't even begin to put into words how special the Hodge Lodge is. Pictures/words don't do it justice! Waking up every morning to the beautiful blue ocean and having coffee outside on the beautiful wrap around deck is unreal. We spent our days on the private beach in complete isolation from others, fishing and walking the beach to COMO is a short 10-minute walk. Yolander is wonderful and cooked us a beautiful dinner one night. Anyone who gets the opportunity to stay at Hodge Lodge is lucky!! We miss it already and can't wait to come back
An adventure in paradise
Andrea could not have been more accommodating and accessible from the moment I inquired about the property until our flight unfortunately had to take us home. Her folks on the ground took care of all our needs and I would highly recommend having Yolanda prepare dinner one night. Her relationship with the resort insure that we received total VIP treatment. Highly recommend exploring beaches and trails around the house. An easy walk to the resort. I would most highly recommend this property to all
The property is in the most beautiful setting .
Andrea was incredibly helpful in arranging our stay, telling us what to expect at every point and facilitating arrangement with the resort. Yolanda and Conrad could not have been more accommodating on the ground. The house is a treasure in a paradise. I would strongly recommend exploring along the beaches and trails and having Yolanda prepare dinner at least one night. The house was kept clean and orderly during our entire stay. Having Andrea accessible during our stay to answer questions and help with last minute arrangements was invaluable. The level of service and attention to our specific needs can not be understated. I would recommend this property to all.
Quiet Calm Relaxing
Our family had a wonderful time. We stayed for 6 days. If you like peace tranquility, balanced with turquoise colored waters and a step of almost novel writing images then this is the place for you .
Simple and Soothing for the mind body and Soul.
This was our first home rental, and it was a pleasant experience. We felt just like we were home. Great Place, Great People and Truly a Great Experience enjoy the sun, sand and water.
We've just returned from a weekend at Hodge Lodge in Parrot Cay and words can't express what a wonderful, relaxing and fun experience we had. The location is unmatched, with total privacy at the villa which is accessed through a private hilly driveway that you reach via an amazing 6 seater golf buggy. The house is so well maintained and beautifully decorated. You can really tell that someone has had this home in their family for a long time and treats it with love and care. It feels homey, elegant, rustic and refined all at the same time. We had everything we needed in terms of pots and pans, spices and oils to cook with and amazing spaces to choose from, to lounge or enjoy big family meals. A previous guest had left some amazing homemade pesto, lots of yummy rums and delicious cheeses, which we got to enjoy. We also left behind some goodies for the next arrival and loved this shared aspect of the stay. It is the ultimate place to relax, with a private dock and canal to take dips in and beaches and sandbars to explore during low tide. We had some jet skis brought over and spent our days cooking, lounging and taking those out for a spin to explore other islands. The new bar at COMO is also a plus and we enjoyed some cocktails there one evening, but otherwise really felt no desire to leave Hodge Lodge. We will definitely make another trip and recommend it to friends. Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous home with us and thank you to Andrea the owner for all of her help before and during our stay. I hope to meet you one day and put a face to the name of the luckiest girl on earth!! Thank you again!!!
Close access to some of the best fishing and diving in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
