Something for everyone. Great house.
This house was perfect for our group and everything was provided. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, gas BBQ for grilling, etc. The property itself is huge and offers a lot of privacy, both inside the house and from other properties. It is surrounded by a forest of mature trees and moss covered walking trails. I wasn’t expecting that and found it very cool. We spent a lot of time talking around the huge fire pit at the back of the property. Our group was all adults, but I’d definitely return with my family to use the pool and play areas. Communication was great. Overall, it was a very relaxing weekend and I plan to be back.
Great location and space
House was very clean, great location. Owner gave great recommendations and was very accommodating.
Union Pier Getaway
The house was perfect for our week away with 7 adults and 4 children under the age of 5. One of the adults was our 85 y/o mother who stayed in the 1st floor bedroom/bathroom. There was plenty of space in the 1st floor for all of us to spread out when we were in the house; the kitchen was well stocked and easy to use for our multiple meals at home. Beds were quite comfortable and plenty of towels for our family to use.
We also really enjoyed having the pool. Since we had the four little kids with varying nap schedules, it was great to be able to use the pool throughout the day. The kids also enjoyed the play structure in the back yard. Although we did not use the fire pit, it looked enticing. We did enjoy some sand volleyball on the backyard court and that was a lot of fun too.
Elena was very responsive to our needs and was a pleasure to deal with prior to arriving at the house and during our stay.
The entire family really enjoyed the week at Elena's beautiful home. It is also situated in a great location; close to beaches, restaurants, markets, et al, but feeling very isolated when in the house and at the pool.
All in all, a great vacation house!
Great place for a family
The layout of the house is great for a 3 generation get-together. Grandparents had their own space downstairs, 2 families with small children had the run of the upstairs. The property was great—pool, volleyball court, fire pit and a swing set.
We will be back!!
We searched on New Year's Eve as we sat together as a family of 13 to find a house for all of us to share this summer. We were tired of the long ride (13 hours) to the shore and found this jewel only 4 hours from home. The house was EXACTLY as pictured on line. The layout was perfect. WE will be back!
We LOVED Amorini!!! Perfect for a family gathering
First of all, it is difficult to find VRBOs with comfortable beds because typically the owners use lower quality beds. Amorini's beds were FABULOUS, with soft sheets and blankets. The kids loved playing in the pool, there were plenty of chairs for all of us to relax on the deck. The neighborhood was quiet and close proximity to the Lake (an easy drive down the road). Amorini had plenty of quiet corners for those looking to curl up with a book or play a board game. My favorite spot was the sitting area in the kitchen/dining room, a perfect place to curl up with a book and a cup of tea in the morning, we also used one end of the big coffee table to work a difficult puzzle. We highly recommend bringing/renting bikes, riding down to the Black Currant Bakehouse for breakfast and excellent coffee or exploring around the street where we found a micro farm where we picked blueberries. The kitchen had all of the tools we needed to feed a crowd and the owner keeps a wide range of kitchen tools. We hope to return to Union Pier, and Amornini, very soon!
