About this property

Stunning Lake Tahoe views, One summer week left!

ENJOY SPECTACULAR VIEWS of Lake Tahoe.
Relax gazing at the amazing cobalt blue lake and take in the special, spectacular west shore of Lake Tahoe. Away from it all. We have spring openings! Nice snowpack this year. AND, we only have one remaining week available in the summer!
The West Shore is the best shore.
**No gatherings or parties**
Relax at our 4 bedroom two bath home with gorgeous views of Lake Tahoe. Our house is your house, perfect for your family to spend time together! We have an open kitchen and living room area with two large decks overlooking the lake. The layout makes for a great place to relax. (We are NOT a party house, not the place for a large group)
6 maximum, including children.
We have new soft, quiet wall-to-wall carpeting throughout the home; comfortable beds (new king and queen beds!) all with down comforters and soft cotton sheets. Two story, with steep stairs, bring your baby gate if you have very young children.
LOCATION: Our house is in a quiet residential neighborhood where some residents live year-round. We are near the entrance to Meeks Bay Beach and Resort, open to public. We are above Emerald Bay Road/89, which is the only road that wraps around the entire lake. It hugs the shore of Lake Tahoe all the way around. NOTE: Most all of the homes here that are within walking distance of the lake and have a close lake view do experience some road noise from Emerald Bay Road due to the close proximity to the lake.
In the warm seasons, you can walk down the dirt trail which starts next to house, or drive, to the best white sand beach on the lake. Young children walk with adults since you need to cross over Emerald Bay Road to get down to Meeks Bay beach.
Right across the road is the beautiful new paved bicycle/walking/jogging trail that goes from Meeks Bay Beach and Resort all the way to Tahoe City. It’s wonderful!
(Note: we do not provide bikes, byo)
We are near the Sugar Pine Point state park and the entrance to Desolation wilderness trail.
In winter enjoy amazing snowy views from the living room and dining area. Nearby are ski/boarding/sledding resorts.
We always wish we could stay longer. This is truly a home you can settle into. We sure have...our father built the cabin in 1977 and it has been in our family ever since. We rent only to help us with maintenance and upkeep costs.
Our house is cleaned and sanitized using approved disinfectants over the entire residence.

Loved it
After viewing many homes in the Lake Tahoe area i deceided to chose this one. I could not of made a better choice. The house was everything depicted in the add and the price was reasonable compared to others. The view from the deck is breathtaking and Iloved sitting by the fireplace. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early because of a large storm. 10 feet of snow and 90 mph winds and highways shut down. The host was exceptional and worked with us on a partial refund. I would highly recommend this house and if I ever go back to Lake Tahoe I would stay at the same location.

Beautiful view of Lake Tahoe
This property gave an exceptional view of beautiful Lake Tahoe. We stayed here with another couple, all adults. The house was perfect for our needs. We also were able to walk down to Meeks Bay Resort to the beach.

Another Fabulous Vacation!!!
I invited my family and partner to spend the week at Tahoe. I cannot say enough good things about the cabin; we have come back year after year. It is not only the location or the cabin that make this place special! The owners last year responded immediately when we had phone and plumbing problems. This year they replied instantly when I could not work the lockbox. They are Super Hosts in every way. I feel privileged to rent a most magical spot from lovely people. Thank you for making my life more special, due to staying at your Tahoe cabin each year.

What a view!
Very clean and hospitable. Great host to work with. Well equipped kitchen. Upstairs bed was very comfortable (we didn’t use the others) as was the living room furniture. Felt like someone was sharing their family home with us. Close enough to restaurants and shopping but away from the crowds. When Monica says lock your car doors and don’t leave food in them, that’s not a joke. We had a bear paw print in the dust on our car door ☺️ We had a great time!

Our cabin has been in the family for years! My dad, Bill, bought the lot, which sits up on a hillside near beautiful Meeks Bay, in the mid-seventies after spending about 30 years vacationing every summer on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. He completed the cabin construction in 1977 and it has been in the family ever since.
Staying at the cabin will feel like home because it is a home. We want you to feel like it is your place to go to for relaxation and enjoyment of the spectacular Tahoe region.
We all try to go as much possible to enjoy all the seasons on the magical west shore. We rent out the cabin to help with the ownership costs. I worked for many years in higher education, and John is semi-retired. We raised two boys lucky enough to have many great childhood experiences at the cabin thanks to Grandpa Bill. They are both grown up now! Our house is your house!

Why they chose this property

if you want the feel of a real home, and not a hotel, cookie cutter condo, or a cold, sleek rental-only house, this IS the place for you. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a non-party, no-late-night-noise area, you have found it. Top that off with the spectacular lake view that is everywhere, a great walk down to the white sand beach at Meeks Bay, and you have your ideal vacation.

What makes this property unique

You will love the view, which is inescapable from almost every room.
The majestic mountains are right there also, with Rubicon Peak looming up right outside off in the distance. Watch the weather changes over the entire lake from our cozy couch, or sitting on our decks. Walk from our neighborhood over to the paved trail that runs from our area all the way to Tahoe City!! Great for walks or bike rides.
Meeks Bay beach is one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Tahoe. It is minutes from the cabin. Too busy hiking to go to beach today? In the late afternoon, enjoy a quick dip, your happy hour, and/or just quiet time down on the beach. (beach chairs provided) It is most beautiful early morning/late afternoon. Just you and the wild Canadian geese!
