This is THE PERFECT PLACE to experience everything that is Austin. We're only 1/2 mile from downtown ($5 Uber or an easy scooter ride or walk), 1 mile to South Congress, and just yards away from bars, restaurants, food trailers, and Lady Bird Lake. Did I mention that the view of downtown from the living room and patio is unreal?!?

While there are many many restaurants less than 1/4 mile away (Terry Blacks, Elisabeth St. Cafe, Torchy's, El Alma) , some of the greatest restaurants in the US are less than 1/2 mile away. Uchi is consistently ranked among the best places in America. South Congress St. and downtown also provide many award winning restaurants such as Perla's, Homeslice, etc.

This is a 2BR/2BA condo. Its located on the 3rd floor and offers amazing views. It is a third floor walkup and there is not an elevator. We are on the top floor and our unit doesn't share any walls with other units, so its very quiet! The living room has a 51' television that includes cable and Netflix, Pandora, etc. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room for your guests and fresh linens are included for the sleeper sofa. A balcony is attached to the living room that also boasts those spectacular views. There's a dining room table that seats four. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything that you need. The refrigerator is large and will be empty so you can stock it as you'd like. There are also hardwood floors throughout.

The first bedroom has a queen bed and yet another private balcony with a view of the courtyard a walk in closet, and an attached bathroom (bathroom also had a door to the hallway). The second bedroom also has a queen with an attached bathroom.

****Please be advised that this is NOT a luxury rental. There are many cosmetic flaws. We are saving up to do a full remodel soon. Specifically, there is some light damage to one set of the kitchen cabinets (see pics). The kitchen and bathroom have not been updated and the cabinets are “rustic” to sat the least. For now, there are some cosmetic flaws around the unit that will be address sometime in the future with a sledgehammer. I hope that the price reflects our imperfections! I'm happy to go into further detail as well.

If granite countertops and a unit that is newly remodeled is your idea of a great stay, then this is not the place for you (no judgement, I love a fully updated home!). But if staying somewhere more affordable in the best location in town with an amazing view and a great host tops your lists of priorities, then you've found the right place!***

Great, safe location, incredible views and an outstanding host!

Location, location, location. Situated nicely between downtown and the quirky South Congress area, you’re never far from something new and cool to do. There’s easy parking (including a reserved spot) for those with a car and a variety of options for those without – including a bus stop right across the street and a 10-15 minute walk to downtown and the bat bridge. Lindsey was very communicative ahead of the booking as well as throughout. The A/C went out during the stay and Lindsey got the repairs done very quickly and the accommodations she offered for the inconvenience went above and beyond - she is truly an extraordinary host who will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible! The pictures in the listing are accurate - for both the condition of the condo and the absolutely amazing downtown views. Could use some updates in the bathrooms but nothing that should prevent anyone from staying here. If relaxing outside with an incredible view of the sprawling downtown skyline is your thing, the balcony off the living room is well worth the rental, not to mention the bonus balcony off the main bedroom. Our son stayed here for a downtown summer internship (June - August) and we couldn’t have been happier with our housing selection. My wife and I stayed with him for a week and found it to be the perfect jump-off spot to explore. Next time we find ourselves in Austin, this is the first place we’ll try to reserve.

Fantastic Rental

We lived here for four months, Nov-March and loved our time. It is a fabulous location and great large space. Lindsey was very responsive and easy to get information from. The view as stated is unbelievable. There is no elevator and it is on the 3rd floor at the top of a hill, so just something to be mindful of. It could use some upgrading as previous guests have noted, but honestly the location and view are SO hard to beat. We would absolutely stay here again and rent from Lindsey. We highly recommend this property.

Perfect location

This apartment is perfectly located to take advantage of SoCo, 6th St, and all the fun things that Austin has to offer. Comfortable 2 bedroom and 2 bath with a spectacular view of downtown Austin.

Great location and space for a girls' weekend

Great place to stay in Austin!

This condo is exactly as pictured; a very clean and comfortable feel. It's an easy walk to downtown to hear some great music or enjoy delicious meals. Lindsay was always available and quick to respond when we had some minor issue with the internet, which was quickly and easily resolved. The place is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. The nighttime view is simply amazing! I left some valuables in the bedroom and Lindsay was able to send them to me by mail the next day. I highly suggest that you spend some time in this condo if you are ever lucky enough to be in Austin!

Why they chose this property

This is an amazing property for anyone who wants to be close to all of the amazing things that Austin has to offer. We're an easy walk to downtown and South Congress, without being directly downtown and having to deal with all of the traffic that comes with it. We have what I think is the best views in all of Austin. Hang out on the couch and enjoy the view while binge watching Netflix, or enjoy the view with a glass of wine on the patio. As mentioned in the descriptions, we're saving up to do a full remodel of the property. For now, there are some cosmetic damages around the property that will be address sometime in the future with a sledgehammer. In the meantime, we hope to provide a beautiful condo in a great location at a price that reflects some of the less than perfect items. I am a great host and always available to answer any questions or concerns from guests.
