Stunning Penthouse in the heart of Salamanca
Take the elevator to the eight floor of this centrally located building, then walk up one flight stairs to this luxurious 110 sq. meters, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom penthouse. The living/dining room is air conditioned, has a TV and DVD, has panoramic views of Salamanca and opens to a 40 sq. meter terrace where you can sit and enjoy the sunset while you sip some nice Spanish wine. There is high-speed WiFi. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and an adjacent bathroom, with privacy from the rest of the flat. A long corridor takes you to the rest of the house, first a beautiful marble bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub, then a completely equipped kitchen with laundry facilities and finally two bedrooms, each with two twin size beds.
You can take a 10 minute walk to the Plaza Mayor and the old part of town, or take a 5 minute walk to the recently opened department store El Corte Ingles. The flat is located on Maria Auxiliadora, an elegant and charming street where you can find everything, from a great pastry shop to beauty shops, boutiques and bars.

We had a wonderful stay--the penthouse is ideally located, and we enjoyed our time there, and the view from the terrace. We rely heavily on the reviews of previous visitors, and they were spot on. I will highly recommend this property to friends and family--and hope that we won't all want to stay there at the same time.
The owners are warm and helpful, and provided excellent service. They recommended restaurants, which we ate at, and they were the best we ate at in Salamanca. We look forward to our next stay.
We can't wait to return to Salamanca and this wonderful apartment. It is even better than the fotos. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, all was very clean and the location ideal. The nearby shops and cafes were great and the historic section a short walk. This is a wonderfully relaxing place to start and end a day visiting the sites.

We had a perfect stay in this beautiful penthouse apartment! Our family of 6 spent 5 days in this beautiful apartment in the heart of Salamanca. The description and photos were an accurate representation of the property. Al and Cristina were awesome hosts who communicated with me regularly and clearly via email before and during our trip, even offering up suggestions for sites to see and places to eat. We took full advantage of the kitchen and the closest supermarket is only 1 block away. The property was very clean and beautifully appointed. Shopping and dining opportunity start right outside the front door. Only 2 blocks away is the start of Calle Toro which leads into the enormous pedestrian-only shopping, dining and residential district of the city. At its heart is Plaza Mayor which is magnificent both day and night. Don't miss the Cathedral and the University - they are spectacular. Also, stop and see the Casa de las Conchas. These are just a few of the sights that Salamanca has to offer. Salamanca has a vibrant night life. Tapas and bar hopping is a must and we never ate or drank in the same place twice, choosing to try something new each time. We explored the city day and night by foot and always felt safe. The local people were friendly and welcoming. Salamanca is a hidden Spanish treasure and this property provides an excellent home away from home for your explorations!
The apartment is very conveniently located: it is situated on a commercial street just outside the central historic area of Salamanca (about a 15-20 minute walk form the Plaza Mayor), with a wide range of stores (supermarket, bakery, department store, etc.) within a block or two.
The apartment itself is spacious, with a large living/dining area and three full-sized bedrooms that easily accomodate 5 people. It is well-furnished. The living/dining area is very cozy and opens out on a terrace with a great view of Salamanca. (it was too cold/rainy in March to sit out and enjoy it, but imagine it fantastic later in spring/fall.) The three bedrooms were all quite comfortable and the kitchen has enough pots/pans/utensils etc. to be truly functional.
Checking in/out was easy to arrange and the person who met us at the apartment got us quickly acquainted with the apartment.
There were some minor problems. There was a persistent odor in one of the bathrooms, which the owners indicated was going to be addressed. Also, the neighbors were quite loud during the day and there was limited soundproofing in the shared wall. But these issues were small. Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay here!
Salamanca has one of the most famous Universities in Europe and is also known for its rich historical heritage.
