About the property

2 Bedrm/ 2 Baths; NO FEES CLEANING/BOOKING; SECURITY FEE WAIVED FOR PAST GUEST

Cheerful warm condo with bright natural light and high (11') ceilings. We welcome guests with wine (your choice at Gurney's Bottle Shop across the street), egyptian linens and an authentic downtown Harbor Springs location.

Top floor of the historic bank building on Main Street. Elegant styling. Comfortable Living. Very Hi-Speed WiFi.

Remodeled and re-furnished in 2010. This 1500 sq. ft. condo is 1 of 4 privately owned apartments in this 125 year-old town hub, commercial building.

Located in the center of downtown, the apartment is ideally located across Bay Street from Little Traverse Bay (view, however, is onto Main Street), with restaurants and shopping at your doorstep.

Aficionados of the area, know there are romantic, elegant and secret places all around Harbor Springs.

After a vigorous day of boating (or skiing), swimming, hiking, (snow-shoeing),biking, golfing, tennis, shooting skeet (guests are welcome at the Gun Club) or whatever in the playlands of Emmet County, why not head for downtown civilization?

Relax with wine in front of the fireplace, while watching High Definition TV or playing cards & Monopoly in your Main Street apartment. After your full day, come home to covered parking and an elevator ride to your 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. Enjoy excellent dining, bountiful shopping, antiquing and museums all within 2 blocks. Walk along the Little Traverse Bay. Take in the amazing starry night sky and hope for a display of Northern Lights. Look forward to a relaxing evening. Prepare dinner at home in the unusually well-equipped kitchen or simply take the elevator down to street for surprisingly delightful restaurants. Don't forget to visit the museums and other shops.

Need a baby-sitter? Pre-arrival refrigerator stock-up? Airport pick-up? Movies? Ski rentals? Cross country trails? Etc., etc. - We can fulfill most requests.

My family has 'summered' in Harbor Springs since 1923, and we would not miss a single year. As our guest, you will have the unique opportunity to share in the warmth of the community and the loveliness of the Summer (and Winter) season in Northern Michigan.

About SANDFORD BOYCE

My family has lived in Harbor Springs for nearly 100 years. I know this area well and have put many of my favorite places and activities on the map for you to enjoy.

SANDFORD BOYCE purchased this condo in 2010

Why SANDFORD BOYCE chose Northern Michigan

My Grandmother spent the summer of 1923 in Northern Michigan because she had a very sick infant who needed fresh air and cool nights. The doctor had told Granny that her son might not make it thru the hot, pollen-laden summer heat of Louisville. Granny was so pleased with the climate and her child's return to health, that she bought a cottage that year and spent every summer in Harbor Springs until she died in 1983. My mother who was a teacher carried on the tradition.

What makes this condo unique

1)Harbor Springs is charming and full of interesting shops and places to visit. Be sure to visit the Movie Theatre. Run as non-profit, there are 3 boutique theatres with first run movies.

2) Reserved covered parking.

3) Elevator from ground parking area to the 3rd. floor apartment.

4) across street from Gurney's Liquors!

5) 6 restaurants-Stafford's Pier;New York, Turkeys Cafe-Cornichous Two;Harbor Bar-;Chart Room-; Pierson's ; Small Batch, all within 2 block area!!

6) Hi-speed WiFi in apartment.

Sophisticated and warm, convenient but private. A very comfortable experience.

  • 5 of 5

A Harbor Springs perfection in any season. The atmosphere of warmth and seclusion but in the middle of the picturesque downtown. Walk to any of twenty plus venues for meals. The new Lyric Theater is a must, the harbor is beckoning even when frozen.

The apartment is a generous space for four adults and very cozy for two. We found it clean and well supplied with anything we could need.

Complimentary wine was offered by the owner, we were able to choose, amazing. You won't find hospitality like this in any hotel up north.

Some renovation work on the beautiful old building but not an inconvenience. You expect that with historic landmarks. We're returning in June. Love it !!

Location, Location, Location!

  • 5 of 5

So convenient to everything. Only a block to the best restaurants and Lyric Theater and 1/2 block to Tom's Mom's Cookies! Comfortable bed and furniture. Nicely decorated. Clean. Large windows to let in light during those gray winter days. Owner was very nice and checked several times to see if we needed anything. Harbor Springs is a magical little town even in winter and off-season. We hope to stay here again.

Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

absolutely loved the location of this beautiful downtown condo. Perfect for the 4th of July festivities. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place. The owners were delightful and were available if we needed anything. We will stay here again for sure. Only issue, not owners fault, major construction with the bank building, but we didn't hear a thing. Thanks again Sandy, it was wonderful

Perfect place to stay for two couples to see beautiful fall colors in & around Harbor Springs. Very attractive, clean, & well supplied holiday property. Enjoyed having bathroom for each of the two bedrooms & enjoyed having a full & well stocked kitchen. Owner is a very good person to work with. We have stayed here several times & plan to return!

Our stay in Harbor Springs, MI in late September

  • 5 of 5

The condo is exellent, airy with high ceilings and completely equipped including very nice furniture and all

utensils necessary. You could cook complete meals for the whole family. We however decided to just make

breafast sometimes and go out most the time. You can walk to several restaurants from the building in less

than 5 minutes. Sandy Boyce is very responsive to any question you may have and he responds immediately.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously and the weather cooperated nicely.

Viewing Harbor Springs

  • 4 of 5

Construction on the building caused some minor inconvenience. I give the inside of the condo a 10. However, cleaning service had 1/2 rolls of toilet paper on toilet paper holders and none anywhere else to be found. We had to go out and buy more. No hand soap (like hotel soap) available for showers. We did enjoy ourselves and the restaurants in Harbor Springs are wonderful.
