My wife is a teacher and I am an air traffic controller. I like cycling on the countryside. We love traveling around the world.

It was my first house in Barcelona where I was very happy, I started to know Barcelona from there. I think it's a really good apartment from where my customers can go easily to the main city sites due to it's adequate central location.
It is a quiet place in the middle of Barcelona. It's very well communicated and you can walk to the main places. It's very close to the Barcelona's fair. There's a quality restaurant crossing the street, but there are many more recommended restaurants around. If you like cooking there's the Ninot market and specials shops like Jamonísimo near by. It takes only 15 minutes to the airport by a taxi or an airport bus.
The apartment is clean and well furnished. The kitchen, bathroom, and living / dining room are large. We made use of the rooftop patio every day of our stay. We cooked a few times during our stay and found everything we needed in the kitchen.
We only used the master bedroom and the bed there was comfortable. Although the building on a busy street, the apartment is at the rear of the building and is very quiet for sleeping.
The location is great. Two metro stations are within easy walking distance (Tarragona and Rocafort) and the whole city can be explored once you're on the metro. With a little more walking you can get to La Ramble with a nice stroll down the Gran Via and a walk through Parc de Joan Miro will take you to Placa d'Espanya and the Font Magica.
The local area offers a large supermarket around the corner, a nice bakery across the street, and multiple other shops and small restaurants. Con Valles, a restaurant directly across from the apartment, has good online reviews but may be fully booked up to 2-3 weeks in advance. We were unable to eat there but plan ahead if you want to give it a try.
We arrived well before the 3PM check in time but Fidel was very accommodating and let us in the apartment early. Fidel provided directions to the local shops and left a bottle of wine to welcome us to Barcelona. We had no reason to contact Fidel again during our stay, but our one meeting with him was positive.
I would stay at the apartment again and would recommend it to friends and family.

We loved staying at Fidel's apartment. The location is perfect, a pretty quiet residential area but very close to the metro and easy to get anywhere. It's about a 15 minute walk from the main Sants Station, with lots of cafes nearby. We really enjoyed the roof deck for a glass of wine in the evenings. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the keys to the laundry didn't work for us, and the shower head broke while we were there (looked like it had been previously repaired). Minor issues, and overall I would stay there again.
We stayed at this property from September 7-10, 2016. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Carmen was there to greet us and explain the logistics of the apartment. Although her English is very limited, as is our Spanish, we still manage to communicate ( we are both fluent in French so that helped us a bit).
Bedroom 1- very comfortable bed with lots of closet space
Bedroom 2- did not use but there is a double bed (top bunk) and single bed (bottom bunk)- no closet space at all
Living area- has a sofa (I think it might be a sofa bed) and a small coffee table. Bookshelf beside sofa has terrific resources about Barcelona. There is a flat screen TV. If you are looking for wine glasses, they are in the hutch in the dining area.
Kitchen- fully equipped except for kettle. We had to boil water on the stove to have our tea.
Bathroom- excellent. Shower had good pressure and sufficient hot water for the two of us
Terrace- is shared but very nice. Washing machine also up there. We did not use it. Can hang your laundry up on the terrace or outside living room window- clothes pins in top drawer beside window.
Wifi- works great. Does not work on terrace
There is a terrific bakery right across from the apartment. There is a supermarket 2 blocks from the apartment. A great wine store around the corner (turn left when you exit the building). The supermarket also sells wine and beer. Many other great stores in the area. Wonderful selection of bars and cafes to serve tapas, meals or drinks.
As per Carmen's suggestion, we used the Metro to get around the city. Purchase the T10 pass for 9.95. A great deal that can be used by more than one person. Once you put the ticket in, it processes the request and comes back out. You give it to your next family member or friend to enter (this is how Carmen explained it to us). We were able to see much of the city for 10 euros (2 people). The Metro is very easy to get around; many maps to help guide you.
We would absolutely recommend this property to our family and friends.

The essentials were there: Good location close to Metro (two blocks), close grocery store, clean, Air conditioning, Wifi. And there was a place to park our car during the stay. There is definitely no use for a car once in Barcelona.
Very communicative and hospitable owner.
The apartment is very close to the Barcelona's Fair.
