The Mermaid Beach House is an exceptional place for a get away.

The Mermaid Beach House is a beach house is loacted walking distance to the beach and to Old Town Bandon. The house has a ramp from the car port to the entry which opens up to hard wood floors. Everything you could ever want is right on the first floor. The Master Bedroom has a huge and cozy king size bed and the bath room is right there. The Mermaid Beach House also has a wood burning stove/fireplace, wi-fi, cable tv and a huge great room down stairs for all to mingle. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also a bathroom upstairs across the hall of the second bedroom.

The kitchen has plenty of space for entertaining or just fixing dinner for the family.

The beaches are just a short stroll across the street. Bandon is also lucky to have some really nice glass shops in town that blow glass, you can stop in and watch the process it is very cool.

Being centrally located we are also close to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon Crossings Golf Course and Old Bandon Links.

But Bandon is not all golf we have world class fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Albacore Tuna and more.

Bandon also has lots of Dungeness crabs in the waters waiting to be caught and eaten. You don’t need a boat just get some crabbing gear and head to the dock in town, it is a great place to catch crab.

In September thru October we have the Bandon Salmon Derby and you never know you might win a prize!

We also have great beaches where you might go horseback riding, find agates or other treasures that have washed ashore.

This cozy home has a wood fireplace to enjoy, free wi-fi, full size washer & dryer, BBQ, and more.

You also have a full size washer & dryer.

You will find plenty of elbow room for 8 people.

Great place to spend some time exploring the coast.

For our group, the house was near perfect. Well-appointed, tasteful decor, amazing countertop and huge table. We shared meals, played games, sketched and made watercolors around the table together, after long walks on the beach. Yes, the toilet clogged a couple times - no biggie, as plungers were in each bathroom. Dishwasher and washer/dryer helped. Ice maker! Double oven - we baked the fish and the crumble at the same time! Thank you Mermaid House!

Love this house!!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife surprised me with a 60th birthday vacation that included golfing at Bandon Dunes with my brother. After playing 36 holes each day it was a pleasure to return to this great home that had everything we needed: well-appointed kitchen, great views, comfortable beds, etc. We look forward to staying here next time we're in Bandon, Oregon!

Clean and comfy house!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent 3 wonderful days at the Mermaid Beach house and loved every minute. Even with the rain we were still able to spend some great times on the beach, which is just a short walk from the house. The house was so clean and comfortable and the beds were a perfect softness. I've already recommended it to friends and family, and we WILL be back. Thank you Eileen for all of your help, you were a pleasure to work with.

Mermaid Beach House/Bandon, Oregon

We rented this wonderful home from June 1st through June 8th and we had a great vacation on the shores of the mighty Pacific Ocean. This home was very comfortable and offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms which offered privacy for all and there was never a wait in line for the bathroom! The house was very clean and the water was always hot for showers. The home was equipped with everything one needs to have a home away from home. The kitchen had more than enough pots and pans to make any dinner and the Weber Bar-B- Q was fired up a few times to cook some of the fish we caught a few days before and brought with us and those thick and juicy stakes we picked up for the vacation and brought with us.

There were four in our party, my wife and I from Sacramento and I and another couple from the Eureka area. We even brought our 12 year old Cairn Terrier (Maxine) who ran the Bandon beaches when she was just a young puppy making life totally miserable for any seagull wanting to take a short rest on the sea shore. She is not that agile at her current age but then again neither are we as we came to Bandon to celebrate my 70th birthday.

The week was beautiful even with the winds of June. The weather cooperated and there was no rain and the temperatures on most days required a sweatshirt which was no big deal!

The home is located very near the south jetty and its ever present fog horn which sounds every 30 or so seconds. The sound could not be heard when on was inside the home so the home is well insulated. The kitchen offers a huge refrigerator/freezer which is uncommon for the typical rental beach house. We had no problem storing groceries for the weeks stay. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans and even sharp knives which for a beach house is a rarity! The home is also equipped with a washer/drier which we used a few times instead of using the laundry bag.

The home’s library was adequate and there is also a CD player and a good selection of music if you didn't bring your own. The TV in the living area is a large flat screen and there were enough cable channels to keep us all occupied.

The two large Adirondack chairs on the front deck offer a magnificent view of the sunsets and an area to listen to the ocean sounds and/or to read a book and to chill out and have a glass of wine in the mild breeze.

All told the four of us had a wonderful time visiting Bandon. I would come back and rent this beach home again because has everything one needs to have.

Comfortable - but a Mixed Bag

  • 4 of 5

I stayed in the Mermaid House for 4 nights July 2012. The house is kind of a typical, well-used beach rental and therefore a mixed bag. Very comfortable and very clean inside. Upstairs bedroom very cozy (queen), but upstairs bath the smallest I've seen outside Europe. Downstairs bedroom (king) just OK, with a closet full of stuff that made it unusable. Downstairs bath/laundry room fine. Kitchen spotless with good dishware and appliances. Bathroom towels ratty and old. Window blinds cannot be raised/lowered. No local channels on Direct TV available. Outside of home in very poor condition. Nice location, easy to find, map provided was good. If you had more than 2 couples, I have no idea where people would sleep. There was a futon mattress leaning up against the wall in the living room and the frame leaning against the carport outside. Don't know what that was about.

Owner's Response: Dear Dayle: Sorry you were not happy, 99% of our guests love the house and we have a lot of repeat clients for just that house. A previous guest destroyed the futon and we are waiting for the new frame, leaving the broken frame behind the carport instead of in the house till we could discard it seemed like the best option. Surprised about the towels we have purchased multiple towels for that house. Yes the master bedroom closet has extra bedding for the king size bed and it is bulky being a king. Several window blinds were just replaced and were all working fine but we will recheck. Also, we are available anytime 7 days a week and if you call us with a concern we would have done anything in our power to please you. If you choose to come back we will give you a free night and thanks for staying with us. Regards, Mgt.

All of our rental homes have a maximum number of people allowed to sleep at the property, we also use this number as our maximum occupancy number for the property.

If you think for some reason you might have more people over to visit than the total number of people allowed to sleep at the rental you need to let us know when making your reservation.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
