Lovely 3 BR 2 BA House w/Beautiful Bayviews

This house, "Bayhouse," is only a few yards from the beach and has a lovely view of the water and our fabulous Keys sunsets. Marble floors, french doors, a jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, plus all the amenities of home. Full kitchen and laudry. 3 bedrooms, each with queen beds, plus 2 sofa sleepers in the living area make this a great choice for a family getaway. The house sleeps 6 comfortably in the 3 private bedrooms, and the sleeper sofas are great for extra kids (please note that the living area is very small, so it's tight for more than 6 guests). 10 guests max.

There is a fenced backyard for pets, and pets are welcome at no additional charge. Wireless internet is available on the entire property, including the beach.

Our property, at MM 99 on the gulfside, includes 3 other rental houses, plus a small marina, which allows for a boat to docked here at no additional charge. A fishing jetty, tiki, hammocks, picnic tables, BBQ grills, plus an always interesting assortment of other guests and tenants add to the laid-back, 'keysey' charm. We are also convenient to Key Largo's main attractions, like John Pennekamp Park, swim with dolphins programs, many fine restaurants, sport fishing fleet, and shopping. Also a perfect location for a romantic sunset wedding!

As an added bonus, the owners live closeby, and there is staff on site to make sure your vacation goes smoothly and you leave our keys paradise with many wonderful memories.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and just loved it! The house was great, and the view of the sunsets off the front porch were amazing. Quiet and peaceful, it was exactly what we wanted! We will definitely be back.

Access to the water, palm trees, plenty of kayaks and walkable to restaurants and bars made our Christmas holiday ideal - we didn’t want to leave!

Family Trip Success

  • 4 of 5

First time in the Keys, so I can't compare it to other houses, but for our stay this worked out really well. It had plenty of activities on site to keep us busy for the entire stay. Fishing off the pier for the kids, manatee watching, paddleboards, kayaks, snorkeling, small beach for relaxing, sunsets. There were also lounge chairs and large cabana style umbrellas. The house was also nice (there are 4 on the property) it was the smaller "large" house. We also rented the largest house and that was gorgeous, huge kitchen area for cooking and gathering for our group of 16. Please note that this property is also part of the small marina, so there are other guests using the pier / beach / etc. They are super friendly, but just so you are aware that this is not totally private. You are close to grocery, bait, bars, restaurants, there is an asphalt trail for running / biking. I would recommend for a large group, lots of fun!!

Incredible time for the entire family!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This property is very unique and provided all of our family members with a great location and great keys experience...... having kayaks and paddleboards outside our front door and having the ability to be in the Florida Bay in 30 seconds was fantastic. Also met various other residents/tenants at the property and all were super friendly and nice. Great sunsets from the marina pier and close to everything!!! Thank you Tanya for your accommodations. The only suggestion I would make is better mattresses on the beds..... thank you for a wonderful time!!!!

Port Saint Lucie

Needs allot of renovations

  • 2 of 5

First want to say the location is AWESOME and this has the potential to be an incredible property and get away for everyone, However there are some major things that need to be addressed especially for the price they charge. 1.Needs MAJOR paint touchups inside the entire house very shabby looking at some of the spots throughout. 2. Master bathroom opens right up into the room so you are literally going to the bathroom in the room with whoever you are with. 3.There is central air but WAY underpowered for the space. There is one room unit in the house but only in the hallway kitchen area so does not help any of the rooms or living room. (even in the window units in each room would be better) 4. Master shower is TINY even for a small person practically have to put one foot out while showering and it is so close to the toilet you can actually put one foot in the shower while on the toilet. (RIDICULOUS LAYOUT) and not like there is not plenty of room for them to revamp it. 5. There are Kayaks that you can use but were very very banged up and half the oars were broke or missing and over all shabby as well. 6. WiFi is HORRIBLE and the router is located in some other house so the signal is super weak and almost non existent. (yes you're on vacation in a tropical place, for those who would complain why would you need internet?, but people do watch Netflix, check emails ect. when on vacation) I really wanted to love this place and am disappointed to have to give a negative review but I felt I had to be 100% honest when I wrote this review being that people are paying top dollar for this house that they work very hard for, only to be disappointed. I am a realest and knew it was an older Key West house so make no mistake I was not expecting a five star caliber place, it's Key West and am well aware it's a bohemian area and expect the properties to be older and beachy, But this place was just shabby and run down and not well thought out as far as the air conditioner and bathroom ect. This place could be INCREDIBLE with some TLC and a few tweaks and hopefully the owners will take this as constructive criticism and make the upgrades and changes. I took lots of pictures of all the things that needed attending to but see there is no place to add pics on here so will post them on yelp as well. PS there is a HUGE skylight in the master bathroom that heats the room up like an oven. This could be avoided by simply adding a shade that can be removed when needed

Owner's Response: We appreciate your constructive criticism. It's ironic because we have Bayhouse blocked off all the month of Sept for many of the renovations you've suggested. It's a very popular house, so it does get a lot of wear and tear throughout the season. Every Fall, we re-paint and make improvements. Unfortunately, you came just before that annual refreshing period. The bathroom in the master bedroom is first on my list for changing, as I, too, don't like the layout. I wish you had let me know about the WIFI issues, as we have a technician who can address that immediately. Thank you for taking the time to write such an extensive list of complaints. We will certainly do our best to address them.
