The other master has a smaller bath with shower, single vanity and lockable door to the outside, also serving as a "beach bath".
On the lower level are three bedrooms, a game room with large flat screen TV, laundry room, covered porch and two full baths. One bath is designed to be wheelchair friendly with a 3 foot opening into the room and also into the shower. The other bath has a double vanity and separate tub/shower and toilet room. One bedroom has a queen bed, one has two twins, and the bunk room sleeps three. The game room contains a double sleeper sofa. All have TV/DVDs. We also have a fenced 'dog yard' with artificial turf.

Hi there! I am Judy Lombana Wren, owner (with my husband Bill) of WaterColors, manager of several other oceanfront properties, retired university professor and mental health therapist, wife, mom, grandmother, and friend! Bill (a retired airline pilot) and I live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and Maggie Valley, NC. I have been involved with with the ocean, beaches, homes, decorating, and people all my life. WaterColors is our beautiful and spacious oceanfront home where we have large family gatherings and enjoy sharing with others. We hope you will love it too!
We bought WaterColors in 1995. At the time, it was a large, somewhat bland home which had some wonderful attributes: an elevator, fantastic ocean views, spacious living area on the main level, plus a game room complete with pool table on the lower floor. Bill and I have signficantly remodeled and updated the house. We ripped out the kitchen and opened it to the living area; you will love the beautiful cabinets and huge granite island. We have expanded the deck, updated two of the three bathrooms, and painted the house inside and out in happy beach colors. We just installed a huge flat screen TV in the living room (look for an article about us in a Best Buy catalog this summer!) For a number of years now, I have been managing other oceanfront homes, as well as my own. My son, David Lombana, has joined me in Wren Beach Rentals, and we now manage 14+ luxury oceanfront properties in South Ponte Vedra and Vilano Beach. We have a huge number of repeat renters and enjoy solid relationships with both owners and renters. We look forward to working with you!
Judy Wren purchased this house in 1994
We bought WaterColors in South Ponte Vedra Beach, because we knew it was a great investment. Our sucess with renting our first home, Sandpiper's Nest, convinced us that larger groups are also looking for top quality getaways on a very private beach. WaterColors is perfect for vacationers who want direct oceanfront, great views, spacious living quarters, quality furnishings, lots of amenities, and privacy. WaterColors is perched on a high dune, on a 100 wide lot, offering panoramic ocean views. The immediate area consists of single family homes, several great restaurants, a terrific beach club (available as an option to our renters who want a pool!)and miles of wide, sandy, car-free beaches. Our renters come here because they love the privacy and the fact that we are not surrounded by high rise condos, fast food restaurants, bars, hordes of people vying for space on the beach, or cars driving on the sand! However, we are not isolated! WaterColors is just 10 minutes from historic St. Augustine and 15 minutes from posh Ponte Vedra. We think we have the perfect beach location!
Watercolors is a very special home with all the amenities you could hope to have while on vacation - even better than anticipated. Literally everything we needed/looked for was there, from an incredibly well-stocked kitchen to puzzles, games, towels, chairs, sports equipment, grill, elevator - every little detail was well thought out and perfect for the needs of any beach stay. The home is beautifully decorated and well-maintained with fantastic views of the ocean, which is literally just steps away. It even has a fenced-in dog yard that was such a great perk for us to have because our rental spanned the Christmas holiday, so it was nice to be able to run the dogs out between cooking, watching sports, playing games, etc. The beach is also dog friendly, so we were able to take nice, long walks in the surf, and I was pleasantly surprised by the shelling opportunities! I came home with quite a few beauties that I am excited to have as souvenirs. Everyone in the family, without exception, loved Watercolors, and Judy at Wren Rentals was more than accommodating and helpful! In fact, my husband and I have already booked our next stay with her.
We had our wedding at the serenata club and stayed here. I couldn't have been any happier and all of our guests loved waking up to the ocean. The facilities are clean and modern. Amazing outdoor deck overlooking the ocean. The master bedroom was so beautiful and I think the mattress was more comfortable than my own at home.
The owner went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Easy to communicate with the owners and they provide a nice welcome packet. Even after a major hurricane they got the house back up and running and always kept us up to date.
I would reccomend this to anyone. You cannot beach the location!
We had a trip scheduled just post-hurricane Matthew and the original Wren property we rented was out of commission due to a missing deck. The property owners graciously offered Watercolors as it was available for the time period we booked. What a fabulous property and we are truly spoiled and can't wait to return. The owners were fantastic to deal with. Not only was the property as described, it was even better. Very clean and well maintained. Decor was something everyone enjoyed and had a lot of unique classy touches to make your stay more interesting. Missing something you forgot to bring? No worries as this property comes equipped with EVERYTHING. We have rented properties from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and this one is our favorite. We were a small group of 5 adults and 2 dogs but I can see how it would appeal to multiple families for a gathering or holiday. So close to St. Augustine and all it has to offer as well as shopping, grocery, restaurants, etc. This was our third visit to St. Augustine in a little more than a year. We felt so at home at Watercolors we could actually burrow in and never leave the house! What a great view of the Atlantic from the deck and we had a bonus -- the Supermoon rising out of the Atlantic. We always bring our phone app for star constellations as they they are so clear here. Can't wait to return -- even if it's just the two of us!! Thanks Judy for the memories! We'll be back!

The house was beautiful, and was exactly what we wanted. The layout was great, and the open floor plan allowed us to all be together, yet not on top of each other. Our family had a wonderful time, and it was mentioned several times that we should plan another trip to stay at Water Colors. Judy was great to work with; very responsive and proactive on keeping me updated on things ahead of and during our stay.
Parking was a bit of a challenge for us. We had 3 med/large SUVs and a car, and we had to move cars around in order to get in and out of the driveway a few times. Plus, you have to back into the driveway; the A1A has a 50 mph speed limit, and is very difficult to see past the mailboxes and roadside shrubs to back out safely.
We had an 18 month old with us, and the high chair provided was a bit of a joke (no safety strap and the tiny tray easily popped off). Luckily we did find a chair mounted booster seat in a closet that worked better, but having a more traditional high chair would have been great. Also, the hard edges on square coffee tables and glass dinning room table made this mama a bit nervous with a wobbly toddler.
But all in all, this is a wonderful house, great owner to work with and I would highly recommend staying here.
We had a wonderful stay at WaterColors for a large group of old college girlfriends! The house was well maintained. The kitchen was one of the most well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc that we have had. The beach was wonderful - during high tide there is limited beach but it did not interfere with our "sun time". Everyone loved the beds - they were so comfortable. The house is close to St Augustine and there are some great nearby restaurants. However we primarily stayed at the house!!! We would definitely consider this property again. Judy answered all our questions in advance and was always very responsive. Also - We had one individual with limited mobility so the elevator was a must and served to deliver luggage to upper floors😀
Our family of 12 had a wonderful time staying at Water Colors......the amount of space in this house is amazing..The layout of the house was great ........all of our needs were met and then some........we were evacuated a day early due to hurricane matthew but we were given a refund for that day....(.very much unexpected )......the beach front was absolutely amazing.....communication with the owner was immediate.when the problems of hurricane mattew started ..........We will definitely stay here again........
